The world's probably going to be a lot less laggy due to how they've split up the neighborhoods now (it is going back to how TS2 did things, but that just means less rabbitholes hopefully). I do hate how they keep going on about the unique personality crap; they bring up how your traits given you unique interaction abilities, but you already had that stuff in TS3.
Traits did, yeah, but emotions didn't before. Also, it seems like now those interaction abilities actually differ depending on your emotional state (like working out while angry builds up your Athletic skill faster than other emotions) instead of being renamed versions of interactions like how the Evil trait did.
Though, I agree. It's dumb they're focusing on this as much as they did, especially since this is how it should've been handled in TS3 to begin with.
You can die from laughter? Awesome.
I feel that after a while, dying by laughter even if it's rare would probably get annoying after hours of playing.
Set shadows to medium if they aren't. High Shadows cause issues for interior shadows on newer drivers from both AMD and Nvidia. I had mine set to medium last I played and they still looked quite good so it's not a huge loss.
Well, the blocks are gone, although I did notice that the dynamic shadows on outdoor objects and sims have vanished though.
If the issue affects all newer drivers, I guess someone might come up with a fix if it's possible.

Only if it's your sims dying. Otherwise, you could become a mass murderer by going to a public place, forcing your sim to wet himself in front of a crowd, and watching as they all die from laughter.
Yay i got The Sims 2 Ultimate collection my Origin now!!
Are they just giving it out? Like if I contact them about it with like no proof is it possible for me to get it? :v:

If you're really lucky.

Nope they ask for the product key. and they check to see if you got any digital copies of sims 2.
It's not worth waiting for the right guy though

What if I have a product key but no digital copies?
What if I have a product key but no digital copies?
thats what i did. i provided them with my product key from my The Sims 2 DVD Edition(Retail copy) and they gave me a copy on origin.

Worth a shot, your mileage may vary.
Well in that case, if anyone has a product key that they don't plan on using.... :quagmire:

If someone can confirm that they'll take expansion pack codes as well (without them knowing it's actually an expansion code of course) I'll give you one of my expansion codes.

They don't. I tried it with an ex pack code. Or my guy was just unwilling.
I printed out a fake disc label, stuck it in a random case, and they took that as proof.

someone risk this and try to confirm if it works
someone risk this and try to confirm if it works
The guy you quoted literally confirmed that it does work
The guy you quoted literally confirmed that it does work
well i know that it works, just want to know if the customers support will fall for that again
All they asked me to do was write my name and the case # on a piece of paper and take a picture of it next to my "disc" and bam, I got Ultimate.
They released that 15-minute long gameplay video today.

Holy shit those two couldn't possibly have have been more fake
Were they reading off a script? Jesus
Got my copy of TS2 Ultimate, and because I was polite and patient I got an Origin coupon.
One thing I enjoyed was the open neighborhood in TS3.
Did they drop that? If so, that is upsetting. One thing I hated in TS2 is loading between places. TS3 has spoiled me.

This issue bothered the Heck out of me so I followed up with nvidia support on it - they are aware of the problem but would need to work with EA on getting a patch out (there's some stuff in between the lines here). You can install slightly older drivers to get it working again though (for AMD and nvidia), there's a wiki article on modthesims with specifics.
Sims 4 is now pre-ordered.
I am planning to pre-order The Sims 4 tomorrow !
Honestly, I think I'm going to wait on the LGR.
Looks like there's a Premium Membership on Sims 4. I wonder how it's gonna work
so i did some research, and some people got their ultimate edition by just providing a picture of their expansion pack copies
and i only have sims 2 seasons copy, without the cd or the manual
I'm tempted to pre-order Sims 4 for nostalgia reasons. Used to love coming home from school then monging out on the games. I'm downloading Sims 3 when I get home from work for sure.
The Sims 4 looks like a joke, fuck that.
