Is there a recommended list of mods for sims 2 anywhere?

And I don't know how to install mods for TS2.[/QUOTE] If you got the Ultimate Collection(assuming you do), you download Apartment one, start game first, then when you played a bit or just hanged out in menu, exit. Then, go to documents/ea/sims 2 Ultimate Collection(believe its called that) and make a new folder called Downloads. Make sure its correct name. Then place all that shit there, its a good idea to make a folder since it can/will get confusing at times.

Is the improved story progression mod for TS3 worth it? I heard it's a real resource hog

AwesomeMod was a huge resource hog (But also pretty good), but StoryProgression by Nraas was fine (Of course being simpler it did miss some things out) It's also more customisable too, most things are distributed as mods for the base mod.
