Are you telescoping at night or during the day? Daygazing is bad because you're actually looking at your neighbors (or just at those npc guys) and they might come over and beat you up you creepy weirdo.
Nighttime typically. My sim works during the day, gets home, focuses on his needs and then stargazes.
I still find it dumb that I'm a world class chef...
who reports to a tier 2 line manager
EA u wot
I love how you can make basements four floors down. Mine is so far down and so out of the way that sometimes I forget he's there.
I might bury him deeper at their next home, for now he's directly under their front yard.
My only real complaint with this system is that every now and then the other sims throw a tantrum because they can't go use his crappy oven or whatever
I tried doing that child labor thing from the imgur album

works pretty well
the first room is not identical to the others 0/10 would not goblin again
also, shit, i was in sweden a few days ago
Playing a bit of Sims 2 makes me miss a good number of Sims 3 features, mainly how much more freely you could play furniture, like diagnolly, as well as basements.
Does TS3 have the cool tinker stuff like cars from TS2? Ambitions didn't add all of it.
Also is there any science stuff I can do to sims in the TS2 or TS3?
[editline]29th July 2014[/editline]
Oh and is there a way I can conduct experiments on sims? Once again, TS3 or TS2.

I remember there being a lot of tinker options in Sims 3 when I played it.
I hate that there are no options while in-game in Sims 2 to change Sim life expectancy or season length like in Sims 3. Really fucking annoying.

Yeah, gotta either cheat or work your asspiration off to get the fountain of youth.

What's even worse - only the family you're currently playing as is aging. Others are frozen in time.

Bloody ridiculous, but I finally sat down to doing it a while back. Took a 6 month long break or so of not playing TS2, but came back to it a while back and got further ahead.
On my next to last generation or so, I think it's just Dance, Journalism, Showbusiness left.

Politics seriously lends itself to some interesting architecture.

And the Apocalypse itself led to some rather...erh, troublesome issues. The Apocalypse family had branched off my original and lead to this guy finding his great-aunt hot.

As well as people finding it a necessary thing to fight in my home for some reason

Or even causing time paradoxes

But all in all, I have to say it feels really good seeing that become...

This, feels awesome. (Of course that's not much but I'm still working on adding more now that we're almost out of the woods.) As is, I'm already feeling sad about seeing this challenge end and I sort of want to do it again.

still don't expect the end of the world to change a sim's priorities
Playing TS2 after having played TS3, just makes you appreciate the fact that they removed the Comfort need, as well as the Cleaning skill. Seriously, fuck having to level up Cleaning. It's tedious as all hell and takes longer to do than the other skills.

I love how you can't even be bothered to give them beds and opted for couches instead.
Been working on this for a few days now. It's my first "big" project i've ever really worked on in the Sims.

I recently started playing the sims again, the moment my household moved in they all had a dance party

and then started eating weeners

and then one of my sims watched his crush sleep for an hour

and then everyone had a lan party right when they got up for 2 hours

ok i found my sisters ancient copy of the sims 3 and am installing it just so i will finally be able to fulfil my dream of making a child labor dungeon
All these painting goblin basements remind me of my last sims 3 playthrough.
I installed a zombie apocalypse mod, and literally the entire town (except other super-naturals) became zombies. So I decided to try to capture and cure as many as possible.

The collection grows. Also, added an execution chamber to the bottom row of cells:

After curing them, I would keep them in the rehab wing for a while. I've actually had a few turn back into zombies while in rehab (full moon?), which wasn't very enjoyable for the other sims stuck in that room.

I built a snowman
A penguin came and talked about crime with it. Nonstop. It kept coming back again and again. They were best friends, apparently.
Then the snowman melted, and the penguin hasn't been seen since
I have put this memory onto canvas with oil paint. It will last for hundreds of years

I don't see any food either.
When they die does the next batch come in?

Now that you mention it, I can see this being intentional now, heh
Is anyone currently playing this game seriously?
Is anyone currently playing this game seriously?
I'm trying but Sims 2 is filled with some much dumb shit that they fixed in Sims 3 that I can't enjoy it.
Is anyone currently playing this game seriously?
i usually do until I get bored.
For the Sims 4 I plan on putting my sims dream woman in a complete different neighborhood and seeing what random actions will happen before I meet her. I like playing around with stuff like that. Make it much more fun than just knocking on their door, flirting for 5 hours, making out for 5 more hours, etc.
That being said I hope they actually make it difficult to form relationships. You can pretty much do anything with another female sim and they'll woohoo if you spend half a day flirting.
Is anyone currently playing this game seriously?
Well, the couple living above my child labor dungeon is doing fine
I stopped giving food to one of the children (now teens) to free up a sim slot on the lot so they could adopt a kid, though

I buy them the cheapest vegetables from the grocery store and put it in their personal inventories so they eat it when they're hungry

Basically, it makes everyone that turns into a zombie, stay a zombie. They also have only two interactions, groan and bite.
Of course, they still don't bust down your doors or anything, but it's still fun watching the entire town get infected.
haha fuck
i have 3 of the ugliest children ever all named "gremlin" downstairs painting for their father, an ugly yellow man who looks like the dude from sin city
i'll post some updates
[editline]30th July 2014[/editline]
oh yeah, how do i stop the CPS from taking my children in sims 3?
in sims 2 thats what killed my entire operation
It's funny that all of us are Kim Jong Un's on the inside
