Another video
You could buy a (shit) computer right from the start in Sims 3 if you plan your money out. Dunno what he's talking about. I don't think I've used the newspaper in ages, in fact the first thing I do is cancel the newspaper. Also I'm pretty sure you can join almost every career just by clicking on that careers building. Besides if they didn't do it the way they are doing it now people(like PC Gamer) would just bitch that they can do it in real life so why can't they do it in The Sims
The game looks pretty cool but goddamn it will be so small. Just like any other Sims base game were. hate waiting for expansions
I made this guy yesterday.
Another video
"They shouldn't have added the new animations because PRO Sims players like ME never play on normal speed and just skip through the animations" what the fuck
You could buy a (shit) computer right from the start in Sims 3 if you plan your money out.
hell in the sims 2 with the last few expansion packs you got given a computer for FREE whenever you moved into a new house.
hell in the sims 2 with the last few expansion packs you got given a computer for FREE whenever you moved into a new house.
I've started deleting that computer because it ruins my sense of progression
"They shouldn't have added the new animations because PRO Sims players like ME never play on normal speed and just skip through the animations" what the fuck
He can't be that pro considering from the way he words things it sounds like he never played The Sims 3. Acting like every sim having a phone is new for example.
He can't be that pro considering from the way he words things it sounds like he never played The Sims 3. Acting like every sim having a phone is new for example.
Also, acting like instruments being separate skills is new
I've started deleting that computer because it ruins my sense of progression
I start a household where everyone is babies because it ruins the sense of progression if I don't start from the very bottom!
I start a household where everyone is babies because it ruins the sense of progression if I don't start from the very bottom!
Oh my god. I would do this every time if I could. Also they would have to be homeless. Yes! Hobo Babies!
Here's a lot of information about skills, traits, careers, and a bunch of other things. Sims 4 is going to have a lot of support for Mods, also the game was written using Python.
Wait, Sims will now be able to breats feed?
Ohoho, shit yeah. Just had twins for the final generation on my apocalypse family; no perks, no cake. Perfectly natural. Hannah and Cassandra. Time to figure out which one becomes the heiress.
cassandra because that is a hella name

Oh god please be as good as its being made out to be. Im still unsure about why they changed back to neighbourhoods. Anyone got an interview or something where they explain why?
Oh god please be as good as its being made out to be. Im still unsure about why they changed back to neighbourhoods. Anyone got an interview or something where they explain why?
The gist? Better performance, more carefully designed spaces, and livelier towns. And I should note, they didn't change back to anything. This is the first time this neighborhood system's been used.
The gist? Better performance, more carefully designed spaces, and livelier towns.
Then I'm all for it.
Something I hope for Sims 4 is that skills take a tad longer to level up or have a little challenge involved in leveling them. You could have Cooking 10 in like two days and go on to be a master chef, or work out for like 12 hours and get Athletics 10 and go be a sports star. It wouldn't kill it for me, but I hope there is something more interesting there.
Here's an article about the new career progression system It sounds a whole lot more interesting than what we had in Sims 3, I like how there's goals you have to overcome instead of just maxing out a skill and having a positive moodlet.
Eight jobs? I know it sounds really nitpicky and along the lines of 'MUH POOLS' but there's always been tweleve. Always. Even in the console games. Iono, it just bugs me. Especially when jobs like Medicine and Business are missing. And I know there's branches, but I just don't feel like that really matters much.
I love the somewhat exaggerated, painted/plastic art style. It's so pleasing to the eye. Don't get me started on the UI. It is on tier with Destiny with just how clean and minimal it looks. Love it. Can't say I'll buy the game anytime soon, but I'd love to watch it.
Get out of my head. [editline]4th August 2014[/editline] Eight jobs, but the each have two career paths it seems.
I know there's branching but ech. Just seems really bare bones compared to the usual. Hell there's not even politics.
Eight jobs? I know it sounds really nitpicky and along the lines of 'MUH POOLS' but there's always been tweleve. Always. Even in the console games.
Wrong. Sims 1 had 10, Sims 2 had 10, and Sims 3 had 11 base careers. Sims 3 added part-time jobs and in subsequent expansions also added self-employed jobs. http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Career_tracks
the choice of jobs seems.. weird, to say the least where's the average joe schmoe career like business
people will probably mod more careers in
I wonder if extended mod support means we'll get pools pretty early.
Since all of the careers have two paths in Sims 4 it's more like 16, though. I mean, since they're very different, like how "Tech Guru" is either an e-sports player or a start-up entrepreneur. Or "Entertainer" being either a musician or a comedian.
people will probably mod more careers in
Well considering that 18 careers(not counting part-time and self-employed) were added via expansions for Sims 3 I don't think we'll have to rely on modders to much. In fact on places like modthesims.info there is a distinct lack of quality careers, and yes, I'm well aware that there is more than one place to get mods.
Another video
Too bad that the amount of content is going to be dick all until a hundred dollars (And more) worth come out for it over the years. I really wish they'd have just updated Sims 3 with all this stuff. I'm sure it's doable, and probably what they did. I wouldn't mind continuing to buy expansions for a game if the game was given an update such as this, AND we'd get to keep all the shit we already have to boot Still, it's nice to see ACTUAL gameplay. This short video has been more insightful than the plethora of stuff that's been released so far, because it wasn't scripted and was honest
Ran into a bug today - or at least think I did, as I thought sims only developed life aspirations when they turn into teenagers, but this child got hers the moment she grew up from a toddler - and now I'm disturbed.
