I looked up the System Requirements for The Sims 4 and it's surprisingly not that high.
"I wonder what kind of gameplay mods are out for the sims 2?" Ohh..
Ran into a bug today - or at least think I did, as I thought sims only developed life aspirations when they turn into teenagers, but this child got hers the moment she grew up from a toddler - and now I'm disturbed.
Is her name Hester?
I Made a gnome! or rather three :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/sS75oPo.jpg[/t] Height slider mod with modified sliders is hilarious And I moved from an apartment to a house. I'm really new to this game but I managed to make a nice semi-luxurious swedish condo complete with a Volvo and bicycles for the whole new family life I'm about to start :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/uqu61Ps.jpg[/t]
Rev3Games released a video of Sims 4. They talk a lot about it, but show little gameplay.

My only concern with this neighborhood system is that i'm not sure how it's gonna work for more than one sim. Often a friend and I "coop" the sims, where one dude is mine the other his, we just say "i'm gonna write now" etc. With sims 3 this works well, pause, zoom to person, do action, done. I feel like now its pause, loading screen. Do action, pause. Loading screen. Resume. I dunno. also yadda yadda no pools blah ea sucks Actually it's looking pretty interesting and different, I just don't think I like this neighborhood system, why not just make the whole town more detailed and bigger. Computers and processors got more powerful since 2009...
I never really got that much into the sims 3, buy I'm actually getting excited for the Sims 4. I'm really liking what I'm seeing, and tbh the lack of pools and toddlers which although sucks, isn't going to really affect the game for me.
Here's a look at all the options for Sims 4 http://simsvip.com/2014/08/04/the-sims-4-game-options/ And other stuff http://simsvip.com/2014/08/04/the-sims-4-cheats-hot-keys-controls-list/

Really happy with how it turned out actually, even had room for a sauna. cost me 35k but it was well worth it. I mean, minutes after I unpaused they made 65 from an investment, but easy go, easy come.
Isla Paradisio has to be the laggiest fucking map in the game. Thank Christ Island Paradise adds the ability to move between worlds.
God damn Sims 4 is making me so hype. But I don't want to get hurt again. Shiiiiiiit. It's gonna be tough not to pick it up as soon as it comes out.
Isla Paradisio has to be the laggiest fucking map in the game. Thank Christ Island Paradise adds the ability to move between worlds.
Yeah, I regret choosing this damn map. I blame the house boats.
Yeah, I regret choosing this damn map. I blame the house boats.
I blame them too. I started out in one and it was impossible to do anything without the game seizing up, especially on x3 speed. Inland it was a little more bearable but eventually I said screw it, cheated some funds and moved towns.
the choice of jobs seems.. weird, to say the least where's the average joe schmoe career like business
But the game is all about making your Sims ~quirky~ and ~weird~ Why would you ever wanna give them a reasonable and average job
So if I want to hover of the workplace while my Sim is there, I have to go into a loading screen and then into another to view the neighbourhood my Sim works in?
afaict, there won't be a rabbit hole like Sims 3, your sim will just be "at work". I hope I'm wrong but that seems like that case.
Too bad that the amount of content is going to be dick all until a hundred dollars (And more) worth come out for it over the years.
They could have taken all furniture from The Sims 3 and replace the patterns with simple colors and it would have fit well with the new art style (because the new art style is just simple colored ambient occlusion maps). However that would mean we'd get a lot of content and that is just not a right thing to do for a Sims game because then nobody would use the store they set up where you can buy virtual furniture for half the price IKEA asks for.

Clothes and Furniture included, from the Sims 3 Nope, that's out, too. Sims has a fairly decent modding community at least so I don't think lack of furniture is going to be an issue. It's just lack of stuff to actually DO that'll be a pain for a while
I seriously love the new style Sims 3 looked like latex plastic And oh my god the eyes actually look like eyes
Isla Paradisio has to be the laggiest fucking map in the game. Thank Christ Island Paradise adds the ability to move between worlds.
It's a shame really, if it wasn't so laggy I'd really like to play on that map more.
Here's a look at all the options for Sims 4 http://simsvip.com/2014/08/04/the-sims-4-game-options/
All about the "Auto Age (Unplayed Sims)" and "Sim Lifespan" options for me. The lack of these options is why I can't enjoy The Sims 2 that much. Even with all the expansions.
If you could follow your sim to work and experience the workplace, see the different employees mixing, causing trouble, sucking up to the boss and hating the workplace overachiever, it would definitely be a sale for me. By the looks of it this won't be the case :(
I fucking love the Appaloosa Plains map.
One of the things I'm worried about due to how the new neighborhood system is set up in Sim 4 is if it's going to handle off-screen Sims as awful as 3 did with its shitty demographics code.
How do you add in custom textures to stuff in the SIMS 3?
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Sims_3_Custom_Patterns
For a second there I was confused because I didn't remember posting this.
so apparently you can't interact with babies away from their crib not like you can really do anything with babies anyway so I don't see what the issue is. Oh no, we can't put our babies on the floor? the more I see how upset people are by some of the missing features the more it confirms the idea that every sims player is a sociopath
For a second there I was confused because I didn't remember posting this.
Haha, did I pick the same picture for my edit? Anyway, I "fixed" it.
