This CAS demo is great.

Remember the Nerd girl from the last page? It's Melthesia Dumbledore, the lost member of the Dumbledore lineage, in her younger days. Powerful wizards! There's all sorts of ways to make horribly fucked up sims OR adjust every detail of the sim to match people you're close to. I also had no problem with the selection of clothes in the demo and that's just a sample so I suspect we won't be clamoring for expansions too soon.

The Maid in Sims 3 is an asshole. When I hire her, she comes in, walks about a bit, brushes her teeth in the bathroom sink, makes herself something to eat and then stands around till end of shift. Every day. Without fail. Same shit. I come home to a reeking apartment with shitty dishes everywhere and water not mopped up. In the end I fired her and just got in a relationship with some random woman and made her my maid by sleeping with her till she loved me.

Pets is good, but as you can imgine it only adds pets. If they're not too important to you, it's not a worthwhile purchase. I heard generations is nice, it adds a lot of more subtle things. But I haven't actually played it so I can't say. I also really enjoyed Into The Future, but that's because it very specifically appealed to me, If the whole campy future setting, plumbots, and time travel thing don't appeal to you its virtually worthless.

I hired a maid and instead of sending a hot chick in a maid uniform they sent me a fat flamboyant guy who will just throw away the juice box my neat sim hasn't thrown away yet and charge me 125 bucks for it before taking off in his shitty hatchback
