100% verified eh. Shit
89 Features missing from the sims 4 http://ts4news.com/post/94541924952/89-features-missing-from-the-sims-4
okay i know this is old but
If you have more than 4GB then you are crippled.
does this mean the game wont work if you have more than 4gb RAM?
okay i know this is old but does this mean the game wont work if you have more than 4gb RAM?
it probably means if you have more ram than 4GBs the game won't use it. also i made a sims character: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/85PIAjk.png[/img_thumb]
okay i know this is old but does this mean the game wont work if you have more than 4gb RAM?
It's worded like a retard. Sims 4 is 32bit only
I wanted to live in an apartment on Sims 2, I furnished it in Build Mode before dropping my sim inand forgot it gets cleared out if your sim moves in.
Use boolProp and shift+click on the door to get an option to rent it furnished.
I think the whole 32bit limitation is mainly a development challenge to get the game to run well on toaster PCs since the Sims is pretty popular among a lot of non-gamers and girls with facebook machines for computers. My sister's laptop couldn't run 3 at all but it handles 4 just fine, she's been playing 2 still for a solid few years.
That list does so much to pad itself out its ridiculous. Its basically blog spam now as its been reposted so many times. I'm still going to get this game because I'm not one of those people who bitch and whine about a game without playing it first. Then again I do own Katy Perry's Sweet Treats with no regrets so maybe my opinion is not very valuable.
I'd like it to have a 64 executable, I don't like games that don't make full use of my RAM.
There is no excuse not to have a 64-bit executable at this point. Intel has had x86-64 support on their processers since some later Pentium 4s. I doubt this game even runs on computers with processors older than that.

There's really no reason to cry about it, I don't see why you're heartbroken over 32bit TS4 It means nothing as long as it runs well.
For Sims 3 I plan on making Freddie Mercury but I'm not sure if I should do a real life rendition or do the version from Cromartie High School to be more comical.

welp, since sims 4 will be limited as fuck i guess i won't be buying it, unless there are new features in 6 months (i actually bought sims 3 6 months after release) sims 4 is literally a dollhouse simulator
It having enough memory to run well is kinda the point
And I'm saying the point of the 32 bit limit is that it's a challenge for the Devs to get it to run well on shitty hardware. They're not going to release a game that runs at 10 fps because it's limited to 3 gigs of memory, they're going to optimize and squish the fuck out of the game so that it runs well at 60 under 3 gigs of memory.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231853R This is the shittest netbook I could find on newegg that runs Windows and even it supports x86-64. You also seem to be forgetting that The Sims is historically a game that is heavily expanded and modded. 64-bit makes sense for this game even if the devs are not going to release content that takes advantage of that.
A lot of people still play on toasters so it makes sense they're still supporting the guys still lost in XP and 32 bit computers.
A lot of people still play on toasters so it makes sense they're still supporting the guys still lost in XP and 32 bit computers.
I'm just saying they're using it as a mark for now. I won't be surprised if the first expansion comes with a 64 bit game patch.
Charlie Day's voice on The Sims 4 swagger commercial makes it so much better.
after the whole thing with all the missing features, can anyone tell me what the appeal of this version is? looks like it's the sims 1.5 with cute graphics
It's a fuckin' sims game dude This is a clean start from 3, it should've been obvious to everyone that this isn't 3.5, this is 4, starting from the ground up and going in a different direction. Every one going "UGH iT'S NOT 3" is the reason why we keep getting sequels too similar to the previous games
People also seem to forget how barren the base game of The Sims 2 was and seem to hold it up as the best in the series. Coming off of The Original Sims with expansions it was like there was nothing to do. It didn't really help that a lot of the CAS assets in 2 were tacky as hell. It seems like The Sims 4 is the first game in the series that comes with clothes people would actually wear in real life.
Yeah 2 and 3 at base were all super boring I comparison. But 4, doesn't change as much as 1 to 2 or 2 to 3.
No story progression - Sims in the neighborhood age, but do not have children, get jobs, move, get married…etc. without player intervention WTF
Yeah the story progression is pretty much the only thing I'm going to miss.
No story progression - Sims in the neighborhood age, but do not have children, get jobs, move, get married…etc. without player intervention WTF
By default the game has aging similar to The Sims 2 where other households don't age while you're not playing them. Well you can make it work like that its not the default setting. Just another way that shitty tumblr copypasta is bias.
No story progression - Sims in the neighborhood age, but do not have children, get jobs, move, get married…etc. without player intervention WTF
Surassed Create-a-Style as the biggest loss IMO.
That's still super shit.
Not as shitty as the default story progression in The Sims 3 that didn't do most of the stuff claimed in that blog. With it on my sims NEVER got jobs, NEVER got married, when they did have children it was just spawned with only a single parent in the family tree, and late game most of the town was dead because they stopped even reproducing. Story Progression was one of the more hated features of 3 and now suddenly people want it back?
Don't worry guys, Mods will come!
Hopefully someone can mod in story progression to Sims 4; I don't know how difficult that would be but maybe someone could stitch together a ghetto version of it.
Story Progression was one of the more hated features of 3 and now suddenly people want it back?
It wasn't perfect, but it still made the game more interesting. Imperfection isn't a reason to ditch something completely. If anything, they should have spent more time polishing it instead of pretending that emotions are the next big thing. They've always been there anyway. I call bullshit on that.
