God I hate how buggy The Sims 3 is.
I've been trying to play some today on Bridgeport and am getting that horrid lag / freezing bug every day in-game.
I've currently got both OverWatch and ErrorTrap installed but they don't seem to be handling the lag I'm getting.
It handled it the first day I got lag by fixing someone not routing properly but on the second day it just keeps lagging with it not fixing it.
I haven't had a chance to try another neighborhood, would it just be Bridgeport? I hope it is, it's completely unplayable even with the "fixes".

You probably either have too many mods or your graphics settings are too high.

There is a reason Bridgeport is often nicknamed "Bloatport" by various people who play it. The high rises are a nice addition and such, but they're way too close to each other and the parks in the neighborhood are pathfinding killers for the NPCs.
I recommend downloading [url=http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/295247.page]Los Aniegos[/url] as it is a mix between Bloatport and Starlight Shores without the horrid freezing issues.
First thing to do in Bridgeport is to delete all the subway stations. That'll eliminate half the pathfinding delays.

Nope, since you get city assets in Late Night it uses those assets in building the town.

Of course this was a slave plantation so it's completely legal in the Sims's universe.
Fuck I've been browsing this thread on and off and it's making me want to blow $30 I don't have.

now with pets you can have one sim patrol the lot on horseback.
Makin' Magic is the best Sims 1 expansion.
