It looks both the grassy neighborhood and the desert one exist in the same world and can hopefully be traveled to back. I noticed the grass area ends and turns into desert near its end
I'm so glad the TS4 Create-A-Sim still requires a mod to prevent Sims from moving every goddamn muscle in their body while you're trying to deface them.

Zoom all the way in on the face. They stop moving and you can still see the entire face.

So say you're not that good at making Sims. If you wanted to play as yourself in a Sims game, but weren't savvy enough with the controls or didn't have a good enough eye to actually create yourself to the accuracy you desired...would it be viable to send pictures of yourself to a quality creator so they can make a high quality Sim for you?

Could send me a basic profile and I could give it a shot. I'm not THAT great, but, hell... If you really say you're that bad. I'll try. There ARE some people you can find in the gallery that may help you too.

I'm not bad--just not very experienced with the new creator yet, and, looking at the amazing shit on the gallery, I feel like someone very talented could make a more picture-perfect Sim than I can.

The 3DS version of Sims 3 Pets did it, but AFAIK there is no way on PC.
I think that's really cool you can move and go to other towns now with your sim. Cant wait to see what they do with expansions.

Do what I did and hold off. There's literally no bonus for pre-ordering.
This preorder for no benefits business is really dumb. No discount no free dlc no pre-install. Why would you risk it?

I just find the 25 lot maximum offputting.
Plus when the rest of the Sims 4 expansions come out, load times will skyrocket just like they did with Sims 3.

Pre-ordering used to just be for ensuring that you had a copy of the game on launch day, in case it got sold out or something. But then I guess the game industry grew, and a lot of game stores started having much bigger stocks of new games and almost never ran out. So I guess companies started using pre-ordering as a marketing tool as well, by giving benefits to those who pre-order. In general, there's really no reason to expect benefits. Preordering is just another way to buy a game. It's true, Maxis isn't doing what they could be by giving benefits with preorders, but in the end it doesn't really matter.

Evidently gone are the days where pre-ordering was just a manner of reserving a copy and picking it up or having it ready to be installed. I find it somewhat sad now that pre-ordering gets you "Exclusive" DLC or some other rubbish.
I only pre-ordered because I only wanted my reserved copy to be stored if they were sold out. Due to digital downloads and an increase of game stock preordering is essentially pointless.

There's that, too--but I'm pretty sure benefits for pre-ordering existed before games were popularly available by download.

I didn't realise that The Sims had transferred back to Maxis, I thought they were still being developed by "The Sims Studio", considering how badly Maxis mangled Sim City (Including outright lying about it), this is the first bit of actual information that worries me about Sims 4.
