well i can only launch the game trough the VPN, after playing a bit and closing origin + close VPN it shows up as closed.?

To whoever's playing right now--if you have Fraps or anything like that, could you record some of your gameplay and post it for us? I'd still like a proper sense of what the game is like. Those streams don't really give that much when all they're trying to do is showcase features people will like. I want to see what Sims 4 is like when you're actually trying to have fun with it.

It's possible to turn off emotional Sim deaths, right? Like laughter and embarrassment and anger? I can't access my demo sims. Ican't even find them in the community listings. Is that a VPN thing?

You get two world to start. Looks like the home lots are all grouped into low, medium and high pricing. You cannot preview a house before you move into it. :( Lots of random sims walking by my house. Neat. Now way to turn off the tutorial tips. You can pan around the neighborhood, but visiting a lot requires a loading screen, and going back home requires a loading screen. This is not what I expected. You can still freely run around the neighborhood area though.

how smooth is it like there are loading screens but are things ready to go once you load in or do textures load

Options menu has "Auto Age (Unplayed Sims)", so everyone in the world will age. There is also a "Fill Empty Homes" option so you won't have only four or five homes filled in the entire world. Good options, glad they're there. Sim Lifespan is there, but it's only short, medium, and long. No sliders like The Sims 3, but didn't we only get those with an ex pack patch?

I'm enjoying the building. It's very easy to get stuff done.

There is a Manage Worlds option so you can mess with worlds. This means messing with buildings, putting sims into homes manually, playing around with community lots, building houses on empty lots.

When you cook something, you can chose what to took and how much of it through a menu. Kinda neat imo. Fuck these tutorial popups. Ugh. Sims are so nicely animated. Geezus. The random sims walking by my house and stop to have conversations and I just sit and watch 'em. I think all the various walks are not nearly as silly as they look in the CAS demo. They look much more...in place? when they're actually in game. Although the "snooty" walk on guys looks stupid no matter what.
