I'm hoping they'll add more support heroes where healing is a secondary (but reliable) source of help, but bring other effects into the game both defensively and offensively, I'd love to have heroes who can throw debilitating effects on enemies a-la-Zenyatta's orbs, slowing effects (movement or ability), silencing effect (say having to maintain direct line of sight of someone with a beam of sort), marking them to see their ult, a lot of different effects could be pulled from different games and function pretty well into a fast paced fps like Overwatch, I just want to see maybe a little less damage + / - oriented stuff.
*Cough* but mainly I want a widowmaker nerf because she saps the fun out the game practically on her own for me, even when I counter one it's still not fun because it's out of pure necessity *cough*

But that's already how it's used. There's no stopwatch if only one of the teams wins on attack, how could it even work otherwise?

I really hope that blizzard adds an alternative hud option to have your abilities, or at least the cooldown timers, adjacent to the crosshair. I have died many times because I have to look at the corner of my screen mid-fight to see how much longer until my abilities are off CD.

Imagine this, but playing Junkrat where you count 4 separate instances in one match of your Riptire exploding on your screen, but nothing happens and it shows up dead on the kill feed. :ok:
I want to enjoy this game, but because I play semi-decently, I just get absurd MM and regularly put up with 1-2x prestiged comp lords or something while my Level 60 ass just wants to enjoy other heroes.
I'm really considering playing like an absolute shitter or letting my cat roll around on the keyboard for a few weeks so I can enjoy matches that don't consist of 'cree/widow/metal gear rising supremes.
I'm ok with joining a losing game but I'm NOT ok with joining a game that as soon as I get in the Defeat screen pops up

Two days late, but this is so wrong it hurts. Winston is fantastic on closed-in KOTH maps. I get loads of gold medals as Winston on KOTH. Your jump and lightning will deal damage to most of their team because they are close-range area of effect weapons, and KOTH forces the enemy to get into a close range.
The bubble shield can block damage from all directions and is best at close range because it's stationary, so you can maneuver yourself to ensure that there's a shield between you and the enemy at all times, forcing them to get in range of your gun to actually try to hit you. It's also good at blocking enemies from attacking you team, because you can put the shield around your enemies, making their attacks useless until they get out of it. The Ult is great on KOTH because there are frequently a lot of enemies that you need to get off the point asap so that you can cap before more time runs down. Play Winston on Lijang and see how powerful he is.
Imo, he's a lot worse on open maps because he has no ranged weapon at all. If the enemy can get out of your small range, they can kill you pretty easily because you have no attack at all.

Earlier I saw a Mei icicle flying toward me, blinked out of the way, then died a fifth of a second later. The killcam didn't show me blinking. I don't know how that's even possible with 56 ping.

I get this shit all the time on junkrat. I'll throw a concussion mine in someone's face and detonate it hoping to kill them only to die and in killcam I never threw the mine. It happened to me on genji too. I was fighting a junkrat and I dashed through him to try and kill him but I died AFTER the dash and on the killcam a grenade at my feet behind me exploded and I never dashed
I guess this is because of low tick rate or whatever because my latency is never that bad. Always 55-60
Also fuck mei's on your team that will put walls in chokes on your way to the objective with the intent of blocking people. It always happens to me when I'm symmetra and it's the most annoying shit because I have to go set up my turrets and I need time.

You're obviously not fighting the teams I am. If you dare play Winston on a KOTH map without, for some reason a Mercy, you're gonna get shut down. Fast. Also if a McCree drunkenly stumbles in, you're out.
In tougher play, you can suicidally drop out their Mercy/Widowmakers which is far more effective for your team than being a 500HP punching bag. You also have the added benefit of making Mercy mad and their Widowmakers swap.

Not the same as pubs but Winston is and has been a staple for KOTH in competitive play.
