There's nothing worse than an enemy mei than a Mei who will constantly focus the other mei
[sp]I do this whenever there's a mei that's pissing me off and it's honestly the best feeling in the world to taunt them[/sp]
This is what I call the "ego" effect. Whenever you are playing a mirror hero that the enemy team has, the mirror hero will inherently put focus priority on you even if it's detrimental to their team.
I'm sure it has an actual name, but I do know what you're referring to.
Since we're all posting it
Whether or not it's actually "forced 50" the matchmaking is absolutely terrible, if it actually placed similiar skilled players into a game you'd see less stomps.
Sometimes I just wonder if, at my current skill level, it just tends towards stomps. I feel like I frequently see cases on control/koth maps where round 1 is a stomp and round 2 is a stomp for the other side out of nowhere, despite the compositions being the same. If I had to guess, at least with the groups I've been playing with, it happens as a result of trickling in: Once team A gets ahead, if team B doesn't begin to coordinate, team A will remain in a better position through the remainder of the match, as they will remain grouped up and with better ultimate builds until team B coordinates an attack together. (Instead, they don't communicate, run in with at most 2-3 others, and die over and over until match end.)
I'd like to believe this is more of a side effect of a lack of voice communication rather than bad matchmaking. I don't tend to have this problem very often when I'm in a good group that communicates.
On another note: Yes, 50% win rate should be correct if you are matched at your correct skill level. I don't know where people are getting the idea that >50% is normal. That shouldn't happen unless you outmatch any current skill group the game has.
The only reason other games differ for any reason is that they may take a little longer to get you in that correct skill group. (See: CS:GO smurfing.)

Another glorious day using strong Russian woman. Why everyone and their mother has that Zarya's skin? Even that Genji had it before switching. Either that skin or, rarely, the punk one.
Heads up guys, Temple of Anubis has a map oversight right now that allows you to get out of bounds and practically contest the second point infinitely. If you see someone contesting the second point even though your entire team's on it and there's nobody around, shoot a Hanzo ult or something else that goes through walls through the giant statue in the middle, because that's where they're standing.

People who take advantage of stuff like that are no better then hackers IMO.

You can report them for doing shit like this and blizzard will most likely ban them if they get enough reports.

Why would they get banned? They aren't hacking or using any 3rd party material.

Blizzard doesn't take cheating in ANY form lightly. Especially if you're repeatably using the exploit. I know they've handed out bans for shit like that in WoW.
I don't think this was ever posted, but there's a list of people who were banned for hacking...but only on the chinese forums.
and here's what happens if you use google translate for the rest of them

Because most people find her design disgusting dude I've said it before. I'll get showered in boxes, but you've seen it for yourself.

The one at the middle back of the second point.
I don't think even a ryu works since it requires Reaper and they can wraith form. There's also a way to go Torbjorn and place a turret in there which is unaffected by Hanzo.

If it requires reaper then yeah they probably can't die unless you get two Hanzos.

Seems like Blizzard needs to fix his teleport as it can get out of a lot of boundaries on maps.

I would imagine the fix is as easy as giving the trace a small amount of volume so it can't go through infinitely small gaps. There might be some legitimate spots for that they don't want to remove though.
People who take advantage of stuff like that are no better then hackers IMO.
The way I see it, hackers are scum, while exploiters are just assholes. It's a lot easier for people to see there's a new exploit that'll definitely get patched and go "lol im gonna abuse this for fun" than for them to actually download hacks and just straight up start cheating. When I see someone exploiting something like a spot the map, I usually don't think to blame them, but Blizzard since they can just fix it easily in the next patch. But with people who cheat with hacks, Blizzard can't just "fix" that, so they're 100% scummier.
I dunno, just my two cents on the matter. Regardless, either type of person is still a dick, but I wouldn't say they're both equal dicks. When it comes to exploits, I just sorta expect a ton of people to just abuse them no matter what :v:
They might have to go into the maps and fix certain exploits specifically known that Reaper can do.
"forced 50% winrate"

You're just playing against people on your level. Of course it's going to be very even. But it's by no means "forced 50%".
I wish it was even! The problem is seems to be more like 10 stomps one way and then another.
People who take advantage of stuff like that are no better then hackers IMO.
That exploit ruins the game but it's technically "fair" since both teams are able to abuse it. That makes it not as bad as cheating imo.
You can report them for doing shit like this and blizzard will most likely ban them if they get enough reports.
lmao no that'd be the biggest bullshit out there.
Reminds me of when the Kripp got banned in Guild Wars for selling items from one NPC merchant and exchanging the currency to another NPC merchant for a gain and then got permanently banned as though he was hacking. The community outrage was well justified, banning people for doing stuff in-game is a one way ticket to having folks upset with you, especially when the fault is with the game alone.
I just realized there's another thing contributing to 50% win rates. Quick play counts each side as its own match, so on unbalanced maps like Hanamura you're likely to go 1-1.
Because most people find her design disgusting dude I've said it before. I'll get showered in boxes, but you've seen it for yourself.
I don't understand these dumbs either, you fucking see it for yourself in the game. Yeah man everyone JUST SO HAPPENS to wear the skin that covers her entire design. Out of several skins everyone all just coincidentally gravitates towards those ones.
lmao no that'd be the biggest bullshit out there.

Should be a short temp ban imo.

Yeah but the difference between that GW thing and the Reaper exploit is that you're ruining the game for at least 6 people, not to mention your team might not be happy with your bullshit either. With the GW thing it's purely for personal gain, you're not hurting anyone else with it, so yeah it's silly to punish someone so harshly for that. I don't think you should be permabanned in OW for abusing it, maybe no XP for some amount of matches.
Not that it covers her design. It's just cool.
Because most people find her design disgusting dude I've said it before. I'll get showered in boxes, but you've seen it for yourself.
The fact that people find Zarya "disgusting" is actually hilarious to me. That's the kinda description I'd reserve for, say, the morbidly obese, not a person who is reasonably muscular and happened to be born with a vagina.
It is one of the few skins where I think "Why wasn't this the default skin?"
I'd like Zayra's winter outfit more if it wasn't for the nightmare goggles. The just seem silly to me.
