Overwatch - Scientists baffled by team's ability to fuck up every time
I have absolutely no idea!
[editline]13th June 2016[/editline]
spent most of the time (3 rounds, win-lose-win, all with overtime on 99vs80-90 tickets) scooting around the point popping people in the face at point blank
97% seems really wrong so it may very well be a bug
It could be that each blast counts as a shotgun shot, and maybe if you hit at least 1 pellet that counts as a full hit?
Thing about Zenyatta is about 80% of the time I play him I spend like the whole game on fire UNLESS the other team has a Widowmaker
[editline]13th June 2016[/editline]
Another thing that I find annoying with Widowmainers is that they always say "well she's hard to play as so it's ok I can one shot everyone lol git gud!!!" which ONE while I may be unable to play as her well she's not exactly the hardest character in this game *cough*Zenyatta*cough* and TWO even if she was very hard she shouldn't be just allowed to be blatantly OP because it takes some time to master her. Being GOOD as every other hero (besides Hanzo I guess) still doesn't let them one shot about 3/4 of their enemies all of the time

I've played Zenyatta for three hours and spent one hour on fire. :v:
Had a game last night where I was Mercy and I was destroying the enemy Widowmaker. She'd just get up to a very vulnerable vantage point and sit completely still as I peppered her with pistol shots. Jesus Christ, some people.
pls remove hanamura until someone learns something about designing maps that don't suck to attack on
aka if you're gonna have a giant singular chokepoint like you repeatedly insist on every map, don't cover it and the immediate area in sniper ledges.

Please remove all capture point maps while we're at it.

I don't like KOTH very much though. You have to cross off a lot of the roster immediately.
It's just that their map design is chaotic. Some points show logical thinking, and others are "durr big single-path chokepoint is good for team game" and that even shows up in Payload.
Also really enjoy the fact that I almost turned around a match with a salty, whiny team only to lose connection to my internet for ~just~ enough time to drop me from the game.
Attack and Defend needs less hiding spots for defenders to hide and ambush right as you go through the, like TWO only entrances to actually get in. And then if you kill them? LOL WE'LL JUST RESPAWN INSTANTLY.
I don't remember this ever being a problem in TF2. If you were on attack and you killed the defenders you always had enough time to get on the control point at the end of the game,
I dont think this has been posted before.

Fucking gold.
the thing with hanamura's chokepoint I think they thought was balanced, is that the defending team has a fuckhuge walk back if they die. That's great, but you get two torb turrets planted behind the gate, nobody's going anywhere. There's literally no place to even start trying to counter them or bypass the area without getting completely toasted by the instant-lock/high range/hitscan turrets, each manned by a torb who can repair as fast as you try destroying them, who've got molten core ready if your team makes a push
and then there's a widowmaker covering from the doorway to the next area, so she's got a nice clear long shot and no flanks
I have less trouble with the second capture point despite the constant disdain for the spawn room being on the other side of the wall

I say!
[sp]It's a sign. The game wants me to hunt Widowmakers. So be it.[/sp]
I wonder if Tracer is ever going to get nerfed.

Of course not she's the postergirl that shits never happening.

That and the only "other" entrance point is only accessible by less than half the cast.
My monitor broke and I had to use a 720p one that had noise.
But I still managed to get 2 Play of The Games in a row!
That and the only "other" entrance point is only accessible by less than half the cast.
even hopping through that point is useless, like someone else said you're still exposed to every defense that's watching the main gate, since it's pretty much still just the main gate. It's decent for going unnoticed against actual players but the turrets will see you, and that means the rest of their team sees the turrets suddenly point lasers up and fire. If you survive two or three turrets unloading on you (protip, tracer won't), you're met with a follow-up around that corner

Tracer is annoying, but she's not unbalanced. She has plenty of counters, and she doesn't even have too much damage.
[editline]13th June 2016[/editline]
Roadhog is the best counter for her. Just hook her, shoot, then you're good to go.
Four losses in a row, three of which were KOTH where we aced the first point, barely lost the second, and then players on our team spam "gg" "br" "fucking useless team ugh" and other armchair commander shit (or leave), and we wind up losing the sudden death round.
:suicide:
I just want to enjoy this game with my boyfriend, but if we dare squad up, the people we get shoveled with are (socially) fucking awful and we get stacked losses. I wish there was an option to turn off text chat all together. :v:
Roadhog is the best counter for her. Just hook her, shoot, then you're good to go.
Right up until you hear the hook noise and she blinks out of it, or they start doing that wibble-wobble backforth strafe spam that makes the hook fail 9/10 times.
Of course, the retribution is for every time I suffer that shit, I know there's a Tracer who saw herself blinking only to be pulled into my shotgun.
I was on fire today as Pharah, singlehandedly capped the first point and nearly did the same for the second. Good fun all around.

Why would Tracer need to be nerfed

Tracer/Genji are capable of dashing through the doorway and into either flank. Once they do though they're basically guaranteed to distract at least one defender. There are healthkits on both sides to recover any stray bullets taken.
If there's one thing I wish I could do as Genji, it would be to deflect McCree's flashbang.

You can, but he can also throw it to the side and zip zop zoobady right click you anyway.
Why the smeg does a cowboy even have a stun grenade? They were first used by the British Special Air Service in the goddamn 70s.

Same reason he has a futuristic semi-auto revolver with laser glow in the dark rounds and a robot arm?
useful tips: enemies can only see the tips of the teeth and the central trigger pad of the trap, when you yourself see the whole thing above ground. It's easy for people to not realize they're stepping on it!
I'll often drop it inside a door, just around the corner where people will be running, and otherwise in hard to notice but well trafficked places. Then, you place a mine on a wall or ceiling just near it, where people won't notice it til it's too late. Then go about your business shooting all over the place, and when you hear/see the trap get triggered, right click and you've likely killed someone, or at least severely damaged a tankier character.
also in the last seconds of a match, throw it down in the major inlet toward a point you're defending, so anyone trying to contest the point gets nabbed by it. your concussion mine can also knock people back, but at least this you can set and forget
When people are bad with Roadhog and dont melee/shoot the second they hook me, I use the concussion bomb to blast him and myself away. When it works, it's very satisfying

Pocket sand would've been much more believable to say the least.

Mccree's stun bomb should slow you down like 70%, not make you a sitting duck for an instakill on any class
