Can't she dash vertically?
No but she can blink midair to get between rooftops
Can't she dash vertically?
She can dash horizontally in the air, but cannot gain height. So if she can find another area as high as the roof she can zoom over to it, but otherwise no.
Can't she dash vertically?
No. Genji can.
I can't play Tracer because I feel like she requires a lot of mouse movement and my mousepad so smol because of my workspace
God when will people learn that every team basically NEEDS a tank and a support. Why must I play with teams who just can't grasp that concept and end up losing because of it I mean 9/10 I end up biting the bullet and playing support when I really don't want to just to end up healing a team that consistently throws themselves at a bastion who's at 60 hp.

I like how the only person he doesn't have on a leash is Lucio :v:
Today we saw a guy with issues after we won against him to the point he said to us "Go to Orlando and get shot"
Reported the guy, hopefully he gets a mute or something
If you feel the need to say things like that because you lost, you should probably take a break from Overwatch.
every team basically NEEDS a tank and a support
Nah, not every team "NEEDS" a tank and support. I've seen both premades and pubs with good players that have no support or no tank and they can stomp just fine.
After getting used to Genjis and Lucio's mobility, playing tracer is so sluggish and almost slow feeling, her mobility just feels like a bad Genjis, no double jumping, no wall climbing, your stuck to what happens on the ground.

She has the best mobility in the game, you just need to learn to make use of multiple dashes and air dashing between elevated areas instead of wall climbing
i think genji is much better personally
As much as I love Tracer (she's my most played hero), I'm pretty sure her mobility pales in comparison to Genji's and Lucio's

She's slippery yeah but a good Genji's mobility far surpasses a Tracer especially with the ability to double jump.

I think out of combat genji is more mobile, but in combat tracer is much more difficult to get a bead on.
Genji only has one dash, his wall climb and double jump are easy to deal with, his path never significantly changes, he can just go to more places. Tracer on the other hand can completely disorient you 3 times in a row and it's really fucking hard to deal with when Tracer is doing her job well.
But I also main symmetra and zenyatta so genji isn't very scary compared to tracer.
Like I said though, out of combat tracer has shitty mobility, genji can go fucking anywhere any time.

Actually, if you look at S76's hands or between his legs you can see the fourth leash that's going to Lucio but the frog seems to hide it

Turn on english subtitles for this one, it gets good
Tracer fucks me up in engagements, my brain is just too slow and small to comprehend what the fuck is happening when they blink all over the place
"gg ez lol"
~ a double winston team

Yes but you only get a single dash, then you're restricted to normal plebian walking with no ability to dodge explosives or throw off hitscan aim until you kill someone or wait. Being in the air in combat puts you in a predictable arc and is bad.

She can definitely outrun an amped Lucio if she has her blinks stocked, and air blinks let you get to most of the spots wallrides do

I have a harder time tracking a Genji that is bunny hopping all over the place in close range than a Tracer, at least as Soldier:76. I can tend to predict where the Tracer is going to be and hit her with my rockets but Genji is constantly getting above me, or out of sight and can be difficult to hit with rockets or shots.

Map design is like this in every map. Really makes no sense design wise but for the most part it works as a good arena in game.

My experience is the opposite, someone strafing/blinking on the ground has the ability to accelerate faster than I can react and temporarily escape damage whereas someone in the air is going to be getting hit constantly with no way to avoid it until they land. Same for Helix rockets, if they don't have deflect up and they jump it's a free direct hit.

You can double jump to change your direction in mid air. Jumping above someone to their behind to their front and to their sides constantly while hitting those right clicks with Genji hurts a lot actually. Tracer is a lot more predictable because they most likely dash the direction they're running instead of juking and at the last second dashing the opposite direction.
My most wanted weekly brawl is just a match without ultimates entirely.

Genji's double jump doesn't let you change direction, it only adds vertical velocity.
I think it's much more important to compare how they are when played well so Tracer players making simple mistakes is irrelevant.
EDIT: Also important is that double jumps only go up. Instead of missing like with horizontal movement the shooter just gets bodyshots instead of headshots.

How would you break stalemates?
I think I could go for a couple rounds without any ults. Progress would actually mean something because Mercy can't revive people every 20 seconds.

My most wanted weekly brawl is one where you cannot deal any damage, except for through ultimates, and ultimates are always charged.

good luck doing anything with infinite revives and dragons coming out of hanzo's ass.
Both Genji and Tracer have shitloads of movement, Tracers is all horizontal but super fast and impossible to predict while Genji can attack from any angle and escape in many different ways.
