This. I have like 5-6 hrs on Lucio and I have like five POTGs when it's bounce time and I knock folks off cliffs.

I never did think that Comp was a good excuse for game balance, that's like saying that everyone should play chess using grandmaster rules even if you're just doing a play by post with a friend or something.
The point is that comp players represent a very tiny amount of players whom have made it their job as opposed to what they do for fun, and games should be balanced for maximum fun for all involved.
Mei is anti-fun because she strips control from other players and has two get out of jail free cards.
Odds are your average player ques solo or with 1-3 friends, Co-ordination between pubs is possible but limited, the mix of skill levels and barriers to communication mean you can't easily call out specific enemies and their location. Even using Voice chat a paniced "Mei behind!" or "Bastion left!" means you have to figure out where behind or left IS in relation to the person calling and by that point they have killed a person or two.
And good luck drafting a decent team in that regard when everyone is determined to play their hero of choice and you're the only healer and you really need a Genji or Winston to take out their widowmaker.

I mostly stopped getting POTGs with Mercy when i've got highlight too.
I wanted to buy one for D.Va and now i'm not that sure if i want to do it. :v:
BTW, how often do you see succesfull D.va ult? Today, when played with FP guys i finally got (after open beta) 4 kills. Mostly i'm barely doing 1-2, even if i'm throwing my mecha into big crowd. And i saw a lot of tough luck throws for others.
I rarely get kills with it, it's so easy to get away from I mostly just end up using it to clear people out for a second or two

Most I've ever killed with it is 2 but I've used it to help us cap so many times.

Not too long ago I was playing Hanamura as a Winston and I was raging and i up and knocked a ulting Zenyatta off the side to the depths. Yeah. Zenyatta is easy to knock up and make dead.
Zenyatta can get POTGs at a good rate because, let's be realistic, he has a higher damage potential than both Mercy and Lucio (I'm not counting Symmetra in this because, the way I see it, she's more of an utility/builder hero than a typical healing support hero) and POTGs tend to reward mainly players who can get many kills in a row (that's why Junkrat and Hanzo are the most common POTGs achievers)
As far as I know, Mercy can pull off a POTG if many of her team mates have died and she resurrects them (we are talking about three and up people)
When it comes to POTGs and Lucio, I don't have a bloody clue

If POTG's are based on how much damage someone does in a short time, Lucio will never get them because he has no way of dealing massive amounts of damage. Best he can do is knock 3-4 people off of a cliff.
I think what would be cool is if they had a PoTG for each section of heroes. Like one for offensive, one for defense, ect.
But people already complain how it can take 20-30 to get to the next round. So I can see it never happening.
