given he's like, constantly decomposing, I think it's less consuming souls and more absorbing corpses to replace the dying cells. He's essentially a body stealing conscience living in a hivemind of nanomachines and the form underneath the mask and trench coat is actually the carcass of his last victim
Is it me or the server is down?
Just bought the game. I absolutely hated TF2 but for some reason I am loving this game.
It's also runs surprisingly well on my ancient rig. The only thing I dislike is the small map/game type selection.
I feel like extra voice lines that are unlocked through achievements would be nice, like some sprays are.
That Winston "Natural Selection!" one is the best, I spam it when I kill Widowmakers.

she would be much better if her laser wasn't ass due to the very low tickrate. i get plenty of so called hits without it registering. i love her to death but that tickrate fucks her completely.

As far as Reaper goes, I think he's absorbing nanomachines left behind from the victim dying, perhaps they're a part of the ones keeping him alive, and they're being transferred to the people he attacks and when they die, he can reabsorb them to get energy back from the victim. Similarly Mercy's Valkyrie suit disperses her own that fill her teammates, and when they die and she uses her ultimate, it energizes them, causing them to repair the damage to her teammates and resuscitate them.

In fact, maybe Mercy's Valkyrie suit is where Reaper's powers are derived from. Either just one he grabbed to save himself in his fight with Morrison or a prototype. He was too dead to be brought back properly, but not so dead it couldn't accomplish at least part of the job.
There's something unsettling when a solo Mercy screams "MEDIC" without any other healers in the team.

Getting Legendary should give you a free legendary skin by how little it actually happens. I think you have a higher chance of actually unboxing a legendary then getting more then 10 votes.

Generally, if you've done good enough to earn yourself more than ten votes, the other team has already ragequit before they think of upvoting you.

The commendations really, really shouldn't affect anything. They're good as they are; as epeen food.
This game is terrible when it comes to play of the game and tick rate. I had a team kill ult with Pharrah but didn't get it because the enemy Pharrah got 3 kills with her ult? What?
I wonder what the exact mechanics / metrics behind POTG are.

I do think you should be rewarded for getting legendary. Maybe a good experience boost. Because as of right now it is like "YEAH YOU GOT LEGENDARY! It doesn't really mean anything lol"
I think commendations should carry a credit reward. Hell, just make it like one per commendation, then at the five and ten mark make it also give an experience booster.
Man it sucks when your teammates refuse to change hero, are completely oncoordinated and aren't even that good at the character they are playing.
But boy does it feel good when you get a team that actually groups up, coordinates their ultimates and in one fell swoop wipes their team and gets our entire team on the point when before the enemy had it on lockdown.
When I have a really good game the other team just salt votes for their healer. Usually after letting me gank them repeatedly.

Start tying rewards to commendations and people will get even more toxic about them. Leave them as they are.

I say they should disable letting you vote for your self.
It's like liking your own status on Facebook.
I just commend whatever support that made it to the commendation screen unless some player had a really impressive feat.

One time I saw a guy call his own team faggots for not commending the person (on our team) who got PotG and quit.
EDIT: The PotG was only 3 kills too
