I find Bastions turret mode to be insanely OP if you don't know what to do vs it.

Yep. And if you do know what to do against it you can take him apart. Bastion is a very all or nothing character. Once you learn how to counter him with other characters you can take him apart pretty easily.

I had a match last night where I went bastion and the enemy chose 3 heroes to counter me, and they still couldn't cap the first point :v:
I feel like the situation got better since beta. Hanzo and Bastion used to get POTG but now everyone seems to get out of the dragons' way and people focus on camped Bastions.

Dude /r/overwatch is fucking retarded in terms of tickrate. The one side of the tickrate argument just keeps blaming every net-related problem on the ~tickrate~ whereas the other side dismisses all arguments as the former example, and thus more or less successfully invalidating the inherent problem of the lower tickrate.

Now I'm not a game dev but last time I checked tickrate was the amount of times a server updates per second, so at 20 ticks that's like 20 times or whatever. People want it raised to 60? That makes it 60 or whatever.
Let's say you have the occurence of a Tracer recall/blink being cancelled and her being killed as a result, with "no response on the server". That means there's a chance that the shot that kills Tracer and the blink/recall end up at the same tick or whatever. At a tickrate of 20, that means you have 20 ticks where these could clog up. Whereas on a 60 tick that means they're at a 60 tick or what fucking ever

This is literally the only thing that needs to be fixed with Mei.
She's an annoyer meant to distract and deal with other annoyers.
If there's a Tracer poking your team from behind, go Mei and occupy her attention while your team works on the objective.
She's utterly useless in an open area or when outnumbered; keep your distance, work with your team, and get good.
Or just play Hanzo, Widowmaker, McCree, Pharah, Junkrat, Soldier 76, or Reaper.
They all counter your garden-variety Mei pretty easily.
Like Bastion, Mei is one of those characters where the only people who think she's totally broken are those who haven't figured out how to deal with her yet. Keep practicing and mix up your strategies, the game is literally built around changing classes to counter the opposition.

Widowmaker was a mistake.
Who in their right mind thought that they should add a class that has near impunity to every other class besides itself, gets to whisper her ultimate which also lasts on death, that also has the ability to remove 300HP players out of the game with a single click every 2 seconds from infinite distance, and gets this neat grapple hook to fuck off when surprised?
Every person who parks on Widowmaker for the majority of the match, friend or foe, is going straight to the avoid list from now on. :v:
