Overwatch - Scientists baffled by team's ability to fuck up every time

McCree and Widowmaker are the ones most needing nerfs
Mei needs a rework in general
Zenyatta and D.Va need a buff.
It's really stupid to see people bragging about how many eliminations they have. You can barely brush someone and get an elimination.
Feel bad killing defensiveness mercys slowly as Winston. Hearing their shockful pains and jumping frantically makes me feel so bad
I don't feel bad if they're defenseless. Their fault for being away from their team :v:
i do feel bad when they realize there's nothing they can do and just stop controlling their character entirely to get it over with faster
I killed a Lucio as Winston earlier and he said "Now YOU'RE an endangered species!"
I had a match on hollywood where I was Zenyatta. I snuck behind the enemy team and just sat there. No discord or anything.
It took awhile for the enemy team to turn around and see me waving hello at them and somewhat surprisingly they just left me alone. Last minute came around and my team came in with their ults and that's when the betrayal started.
I caused the omnic crisis with the discord orb and spam.
Mercy might actually need some reworking as well. Her ult charges very quickly even though its absurdly powerful, but nerfing it would make her bad. So she would also need a buff, maybe by improving her survivability with another movement ability. Although that would make her ult much more difficult to counter.
Just give people some slowness when being revived or something.
My main problem with Mercy is that her "escape" barely works half the time and is pretty much only useful for pocketing Pharahs or trying to get in for a quick revive.

Making her actually have to have LOS for her ult like all of the other AOE abilities would go a long way to making her ult less annoying.
Plus that you don't have to "hit" them with the flashbang, it has AOE
they should just change the skill so it literally is pocket-sand, so that you have to hit the enemy and somewhat close to the face.
My COD instincts keep kicking in
Whenever I play Overwatch, its immediately about my eliminations. I completely disregard the objective and just try getting those sweet 20 kill streaks. Help me.
You just have to kill them before they get to the objective and it's fine
it would be hard personally to say if a mercy using their ult has really turned the tide of a game for me, at least being on the receiving end (as opposed to using it myself) so maybe its more of a matter of how the team prepares to deal with the revived guys
I actually hope Blizzard doesn't base their buffs and nerfs by looking at Reddit or some shit like that
And that's all he can literally do. Anything else he's useless/worse in. He is excellent in taking on 1v1 but against groups he's fucked and in regards to defense he isn't optimal compared to Hanzo, Widowmaker, Mei, or Bastion.
[editline]5th June 2016[/editline]
The game has only been out for a couple weeks. It will take a bit for proper strats to come out in regards to counter plays and picking against characters in the most optimal way.
Tournaments has been going on for quite a while in the beta. I doubt strats will change anytime soon, unless Blizzard comes out with a balance patch soon.
The most angering thing is when you're playing Reaper and you use your ult and then a fucking McCree comes from nowhere, flashbangs you, and fans the hammer into your skull.
So wait, McCree's revolver is a double-action, so how does fanning the hammer do anything?
holy fuck

Oh hey, I played with him earlier. Imagine limiting your fun to 1/21 of the game's content

in other news i wonder if making d.va's gun having less damage drop off and tighter spread would work as a buff

Probably. It supposedly does 168 DPS up close but I sit in front of it for seconds at a time with Tracer.

Is this proof that bastion is actually a girl?
Hard fought round where we narrowly eked out a victory with multiple people getting multi-eliminations, good combo/counters with ults, etc.
POTG was a widowmaker taking four shots to kill a pharah using rocket barrage.
[editline]5th June 2016[/editline]
Even the guy playing widowmaker was like "wtf"
Is this proof that bastion is actually a girl?
bastion best waifu, duh
Is this proof that bastion is actually a girl?
Bastion is there because he's a robot and has no concept of gender.

Higher rate of fire with same spread would probably be better.
If you tighten the spread and decrease drop off then that's going to fuck with Dvas ability to fight close range targets even more. It will be completely unable to fight close targets like ambushed Widowmakers or Tracers more so than it is right now.
If the rate of fire is increased then that improves it's damage output generally without making it too strong at long range.

As a Zenyatta main in the beta I don't think he's underpowered. Played right he is just as strong as Mercy and Lucio. Every healer in the game just fits different role if you ask me:
-Mercy is the best for keeping certain key-heroes in your comp alive. Some comps are really reliant on a certain hero to work (like a Reinhardt protecting the squishies during a push), and Mercy excells at keeping these heroes alive and on the front (by reviving them)
-Lucio is great if you have a team comp that doesn't need continuous healing to work and if you feel your team needs more mobility. On maps where teams usually stick very close to each other, like KoTH, a Lucio is perhaps the best healer to have.
-Zenyatta is super usefull if the team comp requires a bit more offensive strength or has a lot of heroes who don't need to stay together. Discord orbs shred through even the toughest tanks and Zenyatta can deal a suprising amount of damage himself while protected by teammates to make up for his squishy-ness. He can support heroes who aren't directly near him with his harmony orb, so you can stay on the backline with him and still support your team. His ult is also an amazing pushing tool, at least when your teammates have an IQ high enough to grasp that they should probably follow Zenyatta when he ults.
Is this proof that bastion is actually a girl?
Bastion is a peacekeeper robot with the behavior of a mother bird. The combat AI takes over when threatened.
It is not a girl, it just acts like one.
Probably. It supposedly does 168 DPS up close but I sit in front of it for seconds at a time with Tracer.
Really? I could sit in front of Winston and unload and it'd take like 6-7 seconds to kill him.
bought this game yesterday and i have been playing D.Va a lot
it's p fun

Underpowered as in Health. His health is way too low and just about anything will 1 shot him. He has no mobility to compensate meanwhile Mercy and Lucio have some form of mobility to keep them away from danger.
