Overwatch - Scientists baffled by team's ability to fuck up every time
McRee, Mei and Widowmaker need something done to them fast.
Zayra might also need a little consideration. Maybe not, but holy shit is it frustrating to have a good one just negate all of your team's abilities every few seconds while also remaining absurdly dangerous 1v1 because she can push a button for an instant bonus 200HP.
I don't really get it either, there's some really glaring and obvious problems with these characters. The game was in closed beta for about a year. It's impossible they didn't know.
The game was in a totally different state in closed beta. I never got to play it, but the things I heard horrify me. Like Bastion sentries with inbuilt shields, and Torb being allowed to build Level 3s wherever.
They have to nerf McCree before looking at Zarya.
I'd put Widowmaker and McCree on the top of the chopping block before considering how to balance anything else.
Mei isn't even much of a threat anymore now that most people know not to give her hugs, but her ability to just park on an objective for near 20 seconds by alternating the cube and wall get rather tiresome.
Also as someone who plays a lot of tanks, I wonder how drastically different the game would pan out if you couldn't see the enemy's HP at all times. I see far too many flankers suddenly get ballsy because they see me at low HP, even if it means suicidally charging into my team.
Don't you hate it when you wanna play an offensive hero, but no one wants to be support so you HAVE to support.
Or when you ask someone to support and they're like "Yeah man YOU can be support :D".
I just wanna McCree :C.

Going balls out when playing Reinhardt is the best decision I've made in this game
BEEF HAMMER

Roadhog is more gentleman than McCree.
Also almost the same but yours funnier.

Just had a 5k with rip tire and instead of me getting POTG my mate whos playing mercy does because he revived me during my rip tire.
As in, The POTG is him just walk up to me and hit Q, meanwhile the entire right side of the screen fill up with me getting kills, he didnt even get assists or anything :v:
Here is a litlle guide to Overwatch I found
I used tags because its really big, but its really helpful

I've got an awesome highlight. Sadly, my shadowplay wasn't activated when I started Overwatch. Is there a way to record it? I'm still in the game, because when I log out, the highlight will be deleted.
Does your team have high mobility?
NO: Mercy
YES: Lucio
Isn't the entire point that Lucio boosts classes with low mobility? And that Mercy can snap to character who have high mobility, like Pharah?
Also, KOTH not even being included, Reinhard and D.va never being on defense, Roadhog and Winston never being on offense, Zenyatta not being counted as healer, counting McCree as a flanker, etcetera - this seems to dispense a whole lot of pretty bad advice.

I hate when three people pick right away (guilty), while you still have a huge [NO SUPPORT] ticker on the right.
And then you slowly watch it happen. Two more people will pick non-supports, usually offensive or "muh main" so you'll be waiting on the last player to have reading comprehension.
A single bead of sweat will roll down your brow.
A slight pause.

This guide makes the mistake of choosing the heroes based on your own team, rather than being based on the enemy team.

Saw a mention in my Ticker and I was really confused until I read the URL

Good on the Widowmaker, honestly. If five people couldn't be arsed to be support and expect you to go support just because you loaded in last, play whatever you want. Definitely blame those first three.
Anyone else feel like if Blizzard decides to not balance things a bit or just shake things up the whole competitive part of the game will get stale as fuck? I mean, right now the meta seems to be 2 McCrees, 2 Zaryas and 2 Lucios as is shown in the video on the previous page. And you can see they are fighting against an EXACTLY same spec'd team.
I mean call me idiotic or snob or whatever, but sometimes competitive "scenes" just ruin games for me. Anyone else remember when e-sports wasn't a thing and people actually had fun in games instead of following some "MOST EFFECTIVE" meta tutorial on fucking YouTube or Reddit?
Just have some fucking fun.
For this game i'm probably going to avoid the competitive side.
I play Rocket League competitively and thats because it is actually balanced pretty much and is all down to skill and foresight.
But yeah, this is the type of game where there is definitely going to be a dominant party and teams like you said. And soon someone will find out the invincible team. They may need to do the whole "no doubles" rule for competitive. But i can see people getting really pissed off with that if someone is using their main...
With the kind of rock-paper-scissors balancing this game has, I really doubt there will suddenly be an extremely dominant team - especially since the game has been out for an entire two weeks so all doom-saying about a solidified meta is ridiculous.

We're talking about Blizzard, they don't listen to anyone. Except when it comes to bad PR issues. They do whatever they want and don't care about what is being said to them at all.

Call me an absolute madman, but my choice of hero is based more on who I can actually goddamn play, and what I want to play. If we do not yet have a tank or support, I'll go with whichever role out of the two I feel like playing.
Good on the Widowmaker, honestly. If five people couldn't be arsed to be support and expect you to go support just because you loaded in last, play whatever you want. Definitely blame those first three.
Nah, it's easy to be cornered and just play Lucio to chill out while also being useful. I do it all the time. Or Zenny so we have some kind of support. By actively avoiding it, you might as well be saying you welcome shitting on the team because you're more important at playing whatever class you intend to play.

I've got it! Managed to get a triple environmental kill with Pharah.

I'm just saying that it's just as much the rest of the team's fault as the Widowmaker's. Don't expect anyone else to play support if you're not willing to do it yourself, and especially don't blame the last person to pick a character, because that makes no sense.

I thought overwatch was popular but I often don't see that many games get endorsements from celebrities
People who play who they want to play in quick play is fine, but when competitive play comes out you better make sure your team comp is solid. Don't be selfish just because you may be better at one hero doesn't mean that a missing support or lack of dps isn't a big deal.
This guide makes the mistake of choosing the heroes based on your own team, rather than being based on the enemy team.
It makes the mistake of assuming you can't just switch at any point based on how the game is going, and based on the enemy team.
especially don't blame the last person to pick a character, because that makes no sense.
Gonna have to disagree. Of anyone else, they're the one now set with most information team composition. If they refuse to ask, swap, or do anything - now someone else who was already set up has to swap or the whole team suffers.
Learn how to play every hero for fucks sake. Or if you regularly play with a team, at least 2-3. You're hindering yourself more than you think by sinking hundreds of hours into a single one. The enemy will single you out because you're good and counter pick, then you have to pick someone else.

I have 8 hours of Lucio, 3 as symmetra, 2 as Mercy and Zenyatta. Don't say I'm not willing to play support when all others are about a hour or so. If you're last to choose a character then be useful instead of a shitlord
