Gonna have to disagree. Of anyone else, they're the one now set with most information team composition. If they refuse to ask, swap, or do anything - now someone else who was already set up has to swap or the whole team suffers.
It's not like person one through five doesn't know the team is going to need a support, come on now.
I have 8 hours of Lucio, 3 as symmetra, 2 as Mercy and Zenyatta. Don't say I'm not willing to play support when all others are about a hour or so. If you're last to choose a character then be useful instead of a shitlord
Which forces the person with the slowest computer to be a support, most of the time. It's an incredibly arbitrary way to judge people. You're not a "shitlord" if you do the exact same thing your teammates did, or at least not less of one.
Or you could just use the chat to communicate, and be like "hey is it okay if I play Reaper and someone else goes support?" People are usually chill
I've seen that happen and mostly met with complete dead, awkward silence in pubs. Thoughtfulness is appreciated, but if you didn't pick a necessary class, don't blame someone else for not doing so, either.

This. Don't worry about who choose what in what order.
Communicate with your team, instead of silently being mad at them
Now I'm starting to understand why half the time a game is a complete stomp. Do you guys really just pick the same hero over and over again because you feel comfortable with them? I had like a handful of hours on mercy and lucio but I've tripled that recently due to no one picking useful shit.
Learn how to play every hero for fucks sake. Or if you regularly play with a team, at least 2-3. You're hindering yourself more than you think by sinking hundreds of hours into a single one. The enemy will single you out because you're good and counter pick, then you have to pick someone else.
If you get your ass handed to you, you can see what the enemy did and use those techniques when you fight your class.

Yes, pretty much. The implication of Doom and Sift's posts was that the last person to pick somehow gets that responsibility, which is just strange. Everyone is responsible.
I feel like something happened after Beta, everything I play now I just suck at. Compared to how I played during beta.
I mostly just play widowmaker now, cause at least I can get one elimination on her at least.

That's exactly why Im making sure i can play one of each type of Hero.
Im still shit with Support though.
Symmetra on Volskaya Defense is fun as fuck.
it just works. And watching people run away from your stupid little Portal Gun beam is great.
So wait, McCree's revolver is a double-action, so how does fanning the hammer do anything?
could be one of those weirdo revolvers where you can "slam-fire" it like a shotgun.
that is, you just hold the trigger and fanning rotates the cylinder in addition to striking the primer.
[editline]wow[/editline]
this is my 15,000th post
a bit disappointed.

Hank was playing Symmetra too.. but then our Widowmaker sniped him and his teleporter at hugging distance and he quit. :goodjob:
Spamming voice commands as annoying character is relaxing.

It's not that, but if my team needs a tank I'm a hell of a lot more likely to go Roadhog than I am D.Va
Don't you hate it when you wanna play an offensive hero, but no one wants to be support so you HAVE to support.
Or when you ask someone to support and they're like "Yeah man YOU can be support :D".
I just wanna McCree :C.
One of the good things about playing support is that you can ask other people to change and if they say why don't you, you can be like 'what, the team doesn't want a healer??'
Anyone else feel like if Blizzard decides to not balance things a bit or just shake things up the whole competitive part of the game will get stale as fuck? I mean, right now the meta seems to be 2 McCrees, 2 Zaryas and 2 Lucios as is shown in the video on the previous page. And you can see they are fighting against an EXACTLY same spec'd team.
I mean call me idiotic or snob or whatever, but sometimes competitive "scenes" just ruin games for me. Anyone else remember when e-sports wasn't a thing and people actually had fun in games instead of following some "MOST EFFECTIVE" meta tutorial on fucking YouTube or Reddit?
Just have some fucking fun.
I agree. Inflexibility is the worst thing about competitive scenes.
The greatest aspect of TF2 is that you can find multiple ways to play and win, and don't get told to fuck off for exploring the options and trying new crazy ideas.

Show dedication to the character by dropping the shotguns and pick them up after you've emptied all of your guns.
This thread ain't big enough for two doritos eaters.

Lacks McCree, 7/10
I just saw someone compare Overwatch and the new Doom by saying that "Doom is just a more mature Overwatch"
Uh, okay.

Roadhouse would have to put the doritos into a blender with whatever swill he drinks.
How can some people already be at level 100+, that takes like 90 hours.

Playing non-stop and in groups, since that gives a notable experience boost.
-snip i should have seen the maintenance logo-
playing against a team with a good widowmaker makes me want to uninstall. i just played a game on watchpoint gibralta and i would get headshot the moment i walked through a doorway :why:

NEETs, unemployed, retired, rich has nothing better to do, netcafe addicts. The list goes on and on.
Also the game has been out for a long time now, so it's not like these categories could cater to why they are that high level either. If you spend let's say 9-10 hours each day playing. You'd probably get around there too.
Finally got a good POTG as Reinhardt; the entire enemy team pushed our point on Hanamura, and I proceeded to wipe them entirely with my hammer. :v:
