Don't forget that you can farm lifeshrooms at floor 11 from pillbugs (those sluglike things), it can make a difference between life and death, and t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶b̶u̶f̶f̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶y̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶l̶o̶g̶o̶u̶t̶,̶ i was wrong, but still you use always use them before you go into the tower.
Hell when I jumped from 17-18 suddenly the enemies were tanky as shit and hit extremely hard. Fuck that one floor with the 4+ snipers.
I never really had a problem with snipers, what i just do is bait them close or rush to them while they are reloading, also do you use a machete? Its easy to upgrade it to tier 2 (expect for vaneer planks which were rather rare for me, what i just did is searching for that shop which can have these materials just lying on the ground or farm imokawa-cho for them) and its tier 2 doesn't require green metal or anything like that to upgrade it, it made my life way easier on 10+ floors. Also, if possible, you should get butterfly knife, its very good as an offhand weapon when you can use its long attack.
My Machete is already as high as I can get it.
Maybe not an issue at floor 18, but 21+ you'll want to go piercing or blunt instead of slash.
The shotgun is broken. I have died twice because I shot it and nothing happened, leaving me open to the instant death attack from a machete. [editline]15th January 2017[/editline] And then Jin Die stun locks me to death by doing her unavoidable barf attack twice in a row before I can even get up from the ground
They really went all out on making the Haters act like players :smug:

Now I knew that you could fight both a Hunter and a normal Hater in the same area if the Hunter didn't replace the Hater, but I did not know, nor expect, to see two normal Haters in the same room. Thank god they were both unarmed and underleveled, if that was two dudes with dual machetes I would have been fuck 40 ways to Floor 20. Hopefully one of these challenges will give me the shit I need to build this enhanced Iron Hammer soon because I need it to fight the Floor 23 GOTO-9 and he's blocking my progress up.
Finally made it to the top last week. Thought about quitting multiple times near the end after some bullshit deaths due to losing connection to the servers and more, but in the end I just couldn't stay away. Thoroughly enjoyed myself up until around after the second proper boss, which is when farming starts becoming more of a necessity. The combat was fine, the Goretastic kills were hilarious, and seeing enemies' heads explode in violent showers of blood never got old, but my favorite part has gotta be the sound design. It's overall super satisfying and some of the best I've ever heard in a game. And, it's been mentioned here before, but the idea of commissioning songs from so many different bands was such a great idea. Still waiting on that OST. At the end of the day I had a good time, and I'm curious to see what the future holds for this game, but I'm very glad that I'm done - for now at least.
So what's the post-game gameplay consists of, after we finished? Because if it's just climbing to the top and seeing that stupid cutscene with Death, then I will uninstall. Also, whats included in the new update?

So yeah, if being able to say that you've beaten the game isn't enough for you, then by all means stop playing. I'm not really sure what you were expecting though, since conquering the Tower and making it to the top was the whole idea all along.[/sp] Oh, and I personally thought the ending was pretty funny.

I guess I'll uninstall for now. It's kinda big, 55gb

if peeps still care about this game, new content announced

Cool looking mini boss, but I sure as hell know I can't beat him without spending five bucks.
So is anyone still playing this?, I'm still playing it since I haven't finished it. Though there was a recent change to the tower so that you have to use death metals to recover the body of your fighter past the 20ish floor. It takes me ages just to advance a few floors and die before reaching the next elevator.

I gave up though after realizing that I spent about 5 hours leveling up my gear and it still wasn't enough to get through the area I was stuck on. It's so tragic that they chose to make this game free to play. It has so much charm, and I want to love it so much.

Also some bosses are just super tough to deal with if you don't have THE weapon to kill them. Floor 23 was awful and to unlock floor 26 I needed to kill 2 bosses. The coen fight was simple enough but the jin die was super awful, I got stun locked by that huge beam she fires, I think I got killed twice with 3 beams in a row. I think that's when I lost the last death metal I had. Oh also death metals are near impossible to get I think, I used to get 1 every now and then from fights with other countries, now I'm lucky if I get one.
Man, getting a fight against any japanese part usually ends with raids against 5 to 6 stars fighters. Its scary as hell.
