Why is this game so addicting, like holy shit. I just wanted to give this a try for a few hours before playing Final Fantasy XV. Now I haven't touched that at all because senpai has got a fucking tower of barbs to climb.
How exactly does unlocking fighter grades work? A friend of mine is on the 10th floor and hasn't unlocked Grade 2 yet. I could've sworn I had it by then.

It's either that or the 11th. Most likely the 11th.
Playing the whole soundtrack you can listen to in the lobby while fighting your way up the tower should be an option.
I have no problems with the second boss, she's easy but annoying to fight. I am getting sick of fighting her though.

It's probably linked to beating the boss, since I got the notification after the cutscene for killing him.

I remember getting the notification right after entering floor 11
I just hit floor 11 now and i have all my guys at second rank.
How many hours do you guys use for sending them out for expeditions? 12 seems to work well.
Do all your existing chars become rank 2 when you unlock it or do I gotta remake them all?
Do all your existing chars become rank 2 when you unlock it or do I gotta remake them all?
You have to remake them for each grade you unlock.
Where can I make a higher-ranked character?
Was the first time you die and have to fight the hater supposed to be substantially harder than any other hater after it? Because that thing took out third of my health every hit and had the health of a god and the others so far haven't even managed to start attacking me because I spam them to death.
Where can I make a higher-ranked character?
Once you get the ability you can just go to your fighter freezer to make new characters, once you make one I think you can hit L1/R1 to switch between grades
Does it matter which rooms i go to, there's so many different ways to go?
Does it matter which rooms i go to, there's so many different ways to go?
From what I've found, you want to stick to the central elevator in order to progress, there's detours from the path and stuff, but as long as you making progress around that area, your making progress in the game.

To add on to the post above me, sometimes you have to go off in a direction then loop back down to unlock the next area on the center path.
Phew, I just beat the second don. Much easier than the first guy. I also managed to snag a mushroom that turns you invisible before the fight, so that gave me a big advantage.
I keep running into level 26+ Haters all over the place after fighting JIN-DIE. I'm kind of surprised I've only been killed by one once (but at the same time I started out with 7 + 10 death metals and now have... 3...)
Not a forgiving combat system, that's for sure.

The combat system can make almost any 1 on 1 hater fight a joke if you figure it out tbh
Just make them bait out an attack and you'll have a perfect opening. You can either walk back far enough so they just miss you or run around their side in a direction that their weapon's swing doesn't intersect with. If you're using slower weapons like fists I'd suggest stopping your combo short because it's possible for haters to roll out of the combo during the windup for the last hit, and that'll nearly always leave you open for them to start their own combo on you. If your issue is damage focus your R&D on hammers until you find the blueprint for machetes, and then you're pretty much golden. I'm the #1 ranked player on the NJ team atm just because I've been using these tactics to cheese out everyone's defenses.
Yeah my only problems have been with the bosses and sudden swarms of enemies so far. Haters alone are quite easy except the one that literally killed me in two hits (with his fists, no less).
What is that 'Expedition' option? Is it for sending your fighters to loot dungeon or something?
Butterfly knife is the real mvp. If it just wouldn't break that quickly. :/

Pretty much, yeah. But they also gather stuff on the way which is imo the actual payoff.
Can people raid my storage box? The one where I store my items? Or is it only money and sp lithium bank raidable?

The storage and reward boxes are safe.

Watch out for any collectors you might have on defense, if you're also using them for storage they'll end up losing their inventory if they get captured.
Man, Jin-Die's theme is so fucking good

The whole soundtrack is great. I don't know if anybody else likes it, but I love this song. It's like somebody decided to bring early 2000's punk back from the dead while simultaneously forgetting english.

Man, the first Don... was insanely easy? I feel like I struggled with Coen more than I struggled with him
The train leading up to him is way harder honestly

Agreed; once you get the pattern, it's cake.
Now those goddamn Bone Tubers.

The first time I saw one of those things I was just walking through a level and one fell on my head, it scared the shit out of me
Seems like part of them wanting to make a Souls-like game meant adding in the fucking Bonewheel skeletons as well
