neither bf1 or dishonored 2 don't look all that impressive. judging by those screens, crysis could do better than both and that was 10 years ago.

Battlefront is an audio and visual masterpiece. No doubt about it

One of the many reasons why I love PC gaming: Popped in my GTA San Andreas DVD I bought in 2005 yesterday, install went through without skipping a beat, installed a tiny little patch and boom; [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/a97ASmN.jpg[/IMG] game running at 1920x1080, no problems. The only issue I had was with the physics wonking out due to the high framerate, locked it to 60FPS using Nvidia Inspector and it works flawlessly.

You need to be playing with the frame limiter on, otherwise the game won't behave properly. Most noticeable with swimming.

Not at all - the original Getaway is one of my all-time favourite games. Years ahead of its time. All the cockney banter laden with swear words was also unintentionally hilarious. I was gutted when they announced the PS3 Getaway project had been cancelled.

YES! Getaway is such a great game. No HUD, real cars, open world(ish) and English banter. What more do you want?!

hell no I love FC2 and it's my favourite game in the series but it's the worst one. The best part about it is the setting, that's about it.

Yea it's got a number of questionable design decisions like the respawning outposts and degrading weapons... ...but on the other it has a lot of bolder ideas like the buddy system, the minimalist stealth, the physical map, the more violent fire propagation. The later games ironed out the bad parts, but also radically simplified the good parts, making the games feel a lot less distinct. Far Cry 2 really went out of it's way to try and make you feel like you were existing in a shitty hellhole, and I can respect that.

The respawning outposts suck, yeah. The stealth system is fully functional, it's just extremely unforgiving and there's no instant takedowns or hand holding. Enemies can hear bodies dropping, foliage rustling, their vision changes depending on time and weather, they panic and think multiple people are attacking if you are attacking from stealth and they don't see you. e. It's me, I'm the guy that likes the malaria mechanic

Far Cry 2 was my favorite. I think it's objectively true that it has the best setting in the series, followed by 4. I really liked how there wasn't always available fast travel, honestly. Map wasn't too big that driving around was a hastle (Yeah the infamous outposts, though it was easy to just blast through outposts, hop to the turret when the jeep follows, blast them, and keep going), but riding around on the bus to towns and shit made me feel like some slummy 3rd world merc. :v: I liked how unforgiving the stealth was as opposed to FC3 (though I think FC4 made the enemies a little smarter?) You couldn't just drop some dude next to his pals and they don't see him. There weren't any stealth take downs for being oper9ner as fuk, your best bet was to shoot them in the back of the head with the dart rifle or mak. I liked the diamonds to unlock weapons a bit, and I am one of the few guys who didn't mind the malaria. Maybe it's nostalgia, but the setting was oozing with atmosphere that I think only games like the metro series communicated better.

I don't know why but when I first started playing fc2 and I picked up a shitty looking ak and it blew up in my hands was a really cool moment to me.
