I haven't minded the hubs too much. I think the only thing that feels off to me is the lighting doesn't seem as good as the first game. It's less dramatic with the contrast and more just blue/washed out a lot of the time.

There are a couple custom servers out there.
The one I'm on is Galaxies Legends, which is based on post NGE and CU Galaxies
There is is SWGEmu which is pre NGE and CU, but doesn't have Jump to Lightspeed last I checked.
Only reason I'm on Legends is because of JTL.

You do need to find a copy of the game to play these. If you still have it on CD or steam those do work.
The thing I hated about JTL is I could never play it. Everything would desync worse and worse. 'Bumble bee syndrome' it was called. Then it would SNAP and be perfect and then slowly desync more and more and more. Out of 3 minutes of fighting maybe 10 seconds was playable. Like the Tickrate would go from 30 down to something around 1 per 3 seconds.
Wasn't my internet or PC. Happened on two different ISP's and rigs

That game is immensely fun, though surviving can be heavily dependent upon if the AI is being smart on the current mission.

It's really fun, the gameplay is repetitive but the game is kinda short so that's not a problem, but I probably wouldn't want to play through the campaign again, the replayability value is nearly inexistent.
If you are going to take screenshots you have to make sure you don't have motion blur enabled. all of those pictures are incredibly messy because of it
I didn't see any option that let you disable it in the menu, I sure would have removed it if I could.
