It's been too long since a proper WW2 game with a story campaign
Loved the stealth missions, made me feel like I was young again playing the early Medal of Honor games
Trainz: A New Era; I figured how to turn bloom on and used a setting that people were saying made the game look better.

They are billions has been pretty entertaining, and definitely challenging. It's a fantastic "I want to turtle while AI attack me" game.

The only thing making me hold off on Origins is that I hear the CPU requirements are quite steep for stable FPS. I'm "only" on an FX 8350, and I'd hate to find that I'd struggle to maintain 30fps min. Sure looks good tho.

I have an i5-3570k @ 4.7GHz and it struggles in the denser city areas
For this game it pretty much demands an i7

Blame the DRM and VMProtect on it. Even though Ubi has stated that it doesn't affect performance, there's no way VMProtect does not affect performance because of the way it works.

Honestly this just makes me more skeptic. Ubisoft has some amazing environments, at least in all the latest games I've seen from them, but their gameplay is usually mediocre. It most often seems like wasted potential.

I want to share two reasons why this video is kinda special to me:
1) I decided to do a no damage run of all the bosses only [I]after[/I] discovering that all my original NVidia Shadowplay footage was heavily corrupted and noticing how I pulled off perfect runs without much of an hassle on several bosses. By the way I've got OBS Studio for the new footage and [I]still[/I] ended up with frames hiccups.
2) Given my absolute [I]zero experience[/I] with Run-and-Gun games (and bullet hell scenarios) I never thought I could fnish this game in a fair amount of time, let alone complete all the bosses without taking damage. It was surely done "only" on Regular/normal difficulty, but it still feels like an accomplishment to me.
Needless to say Cuphead is one of my favorite 2017 release this far and I'm genuinely happy the developers managed to make a lot of money out of it. They deserve every damn cent

It was proven with a debugger, and it's tied in to player movement, too. So it runs non stop

Exactly, it's just Ubisoft at it's scummiest.
Going back through Assassin's Creed Unity, now that I have a system that runs it at a decent framerate.

For as much (deserved) flak as this game got at launch, I'm still enjoying the hell out of the SP and Co-Op. Still amusing though that it's a game developed by a French company, taking place in late 1700s Paris...and everyone speaks in a British accent. :mystery:

Unity's a great looking game, and a lot better now than at launch, but it's just.... bland
The more time passes by the more Assassin's Creed: Unity is becoming my worst videogame delusion from recent years.
The actual gameplay novelties were a huge step in the right direction and the hystorical period portraied (the French Revolution) really interested me, but as other people above me already noted the end result was just bland and, in many ways, disappointing.
What disturbed me the most about the whole thing is that it'd had taken so little to "fix" Unity, like deploying a more accurate hystorical side and make either Pierre Bellec or (especially) Elise de la Serre as the protagonist, with Arno as a supporting character
