Been replaying D2, started a Whirlwind barb since for some reason I never got around to making one. This baby dropped out of the blue in Halls of Pain and literally more than doubled my damage, Nihlathak and his horde fucking melted, and on /players 8 to boot where everything is a damage sponge that takes too long to die.

[Halflight]

I've recently played Rock of Ages II: Bigger & Boulder.

Basically, is a platform-tower defense-racing-strategic and whatnot kind of game where first you must directly control a boulder as you try to survive an obstacle course and gain enough speed to damage the enemy fortress gates, then sit back as you scout the enemy path in bird's eye view and build different kind of defenses to stop him from doing the some.

It's nothing entirely noteworthy but the Monty Pyton-esque, cardboard art style and the faithful recreation of the artistic style of each era always sold me over. And I like the hystorical jokes and the musical arrangements too.

I beat STALKER: Clear Sky yesterday. It's such a step down from the first game, the focus on the faction war system (which is terribly implemented) really drags the game down. It's still good on the main story bits though.

I waited for 2 hours and not a single Loner squad spawned. I reduced the bandits to 0 in everything by myself and no one else could be bothered to just walk up to the depot and sit around.

Also, it wouldn't be STALKER without dumb AI.

Are you playing it with the mouse? It's one of the new PS1 shooters that had built-in support for the PS1 mouse so you can also emulate that pretty well. Playing it with a mouse almost feels like playing a non-existent PC port of it.
