The thing that makes that game great are the destruction physics, I love blowing out walls and shit.

I hope you bought it on GOG, since Cd Projekt actually went back and improved the port there, to make it not shit.
It was on steam for 2 bucks, and I got the gentlemen of the row mod which makes it run better.

No, not really, it looked pretty fucking ugly at the time of release too. It has some kinda-nice lighting and shadows but everything else, the models, the textures, animations looked pretty ugly even back then. GTAIV and MGS4 both came out that year and they both look leaps and bounds better than SR2.
Yeah I'm gonna have to disagree with you on at least MGS4, I personally never liked the look of that game, the colour palette is shite.

I'm not talking about color palette, I'm talking about the quality of the graphics. The models, textures, animations, everything else is far better in MGS4 than SR2. All SR2 character models look like horrible mutants and most of the texture are either stupidly low res or barely resemble the thing they're supposed to look like.
