To each his own I guess, but The Witcher 3 still provides an experience that I don't think will be matched by another game for quite a while. Even if it's not the most technically accomplished game with regards to textures, shaders, etc.... it just looks damn impressive when you see it all coming together in this massive and open world that feels genuine and lived in.
I think Deus Ex looks amazing, but other than Golem City, I'm not having the same kind of wow moments I had all the time in The Witcher 3
I will be absolutely thrilled when another game comes along and tops the fantasy experience that is The Witcher 3.

Personally The Witcher 3 felt a bit dead to me, Deus Ex MD, especially Prague felt really alive. Kinda what Ghost said, I just felt that I was running after quest markers. Deus Ex doesn't show you a direct path to your next goal, while TW3 draws a line for you on your minimap, which completely changes the way players perceive the environment.

Actually Deus Ex kinda does. It has an updating marker that leads you in a path towards the objective. It's not just 1 marker stuck on top of the objective area. You could then say that path is only a suggestion but so is the line that TW3 draws.

Atleast in Deus Ex you CAN play without markers, trying that in Witcher 3 is most of the time pretty hard and often not worth it, because the quest design depends too much on it. Imo the openworld treatment didn't suit it very well, I preferred the semi-open approach of the predecessors.
