The only tutorial you are offered and the only mandatory preliminary quest you take part into are there to explain just how combat and warbands work, but there is [I]nothing[/I] in the game to prepare you for the slow, [I]extremely slow[/I] slog you must go through (up to including politics, people and items management, last minute changes in allegiances, food stacking, marriage, ...) in order to achieve the supposed "ending" of the campaign, as to say you becoming king of everything and everyone

Yeah that makes more sense.
I like the fact that the starting is hard but I agree with you in that it's pretty shit how the game barely has any tutorial or guide in the game.
