The fact that no official gamemodes make use of high AI or playercount is pretty telling, Squad is really barebones right now, but already has a significantly better PVP experience.

Aside from my general fascination with the Skaven, I don't know if I should suggest this game to my friends: after your first hour or so of gameplay things start getting a bit too repetitive and the loot system looks [I]extremely [/I]grindy (it's the "so you get nothing!" kind)
