I do think it's a great game to for the story alone and the whole deconstruction it does against both the steampunk and fantasy genre, but the combat and general gameplay put me off by the time I hit the very second city

I don't think so. The name of the map is GM_Sunsetgulch. A map that one of the server's owners made specifically for it.

Yes I most certainly have. And a lot of the abilities and spells, sounds included, were eventually ripped to make the backbone of the gmod Noxious Net game mode.
That was also a favorite game. I played the shit out of Nox and Arcanum growing up, my father introduced me to both.

It's awesome having these old games in widescreen. The MTX release of Mech4 Mercenaries had native widescreen support, but there was nothing for Vengeance or Black Knight.
