it's personally my favourite map
People still play death star?
My bet is that the PC player base will be okay until the next game comes out. After that it's probably game over.

I think this is the most exciting feature ever touted for a game.
Aliens vs Predator 1 Gold

executing the traitor adherents in house of the dying sun, the last great space shooter
I've had that game on my wishlist for a while grappling back and forth about picking it up.

Japanese Witcher (Nioh demo on the PS4)
are you sure that isn't another dark souls wannabe
I started playing Diablo 3 again after a, uh, small pause (real money auction house still existed then) and it's a loooooooooot easier now, decided to try to make a Hammerdin in remembrance of THE only Diablo 2 class:

I get cockblocked by the Red Soulstone right before 100. :v:

It doesn't have a lot of content unfortunately.
it's only been on sale once (I think for 12 dollars??) but the next time it does go on sale, pick it up. it's short and sweet
are you sure that isn't another dark souls wannabe
I can confirm it is, albeit with some Ninja Gaiden elements, a more, shall we say, strategic approach to swordplay and at times boring and unintuitive mechanics.
... Please don't eat me alive.
idk, it looks literally like some indie company decided to make a dark souls clone because they don't have the capacity to make their own original RPG formula so they just hop on the bandwagon of whatever sells the most
just like how spiderweb studios tries to make sci-fi witcher clones

This isn't too far away from what happened. Ni-oh has been in development since 2004 because they wanted to make a samurai action RPG but believed they couldn't get it right until around 2012 when Dark Souls got really popular and they decided to more or less base the gameplay on that
It's by Team Ninja though, these guys have been making games for quite a while
Ni-Oh is awesome and far from just being a Dark Souls clone. Feels more like Ninja Gaiden with more RPG elements.
Nioh is clearly heavily influenced by Dark Souls but its combat system is totally different.

No.
You get more emphasis on stamina, difference stances for your character to better adapt to the situation at hand, an oni corruption ... thingy I didn't quite get and some traditional Dark Souls features are missing (backstabbing, for instance), but everything else is still there and is obvious.
I won't argue that Nioh doesn't at least try to develop its own gimmicks, but saying that the game is totally different than an average Dark Souls game is just plain wrong

Everything else? You mean lock on, dodging and a light and heavy attack? Not something the Souls games invented, really. The combat is completely different. You even get combos and special moves and shit you have to unlock with skill points. You can go full on Super Saiyan. Also, the direct story approach and the linear, individual levels with optional stages and everything is the complete opposite of any souls game.
Just because a game has rather skill-based combat and features a boss at the end of every level, it doesn't have to be a Souls clone. I hate how people think that all the time. Sure there are features inspired by Souls games, like the respawning enemies and the graves when you die, but come on.

It's only easier until you start going for Rifts that challenge you. I call it a fun and rewarding experience over what it was, dull and boring. Now you can play for a little bit and when you log off, your character is better than it was when you logged on. Before you would grind the same small chapter in one act over and over and over and over for maybe a week without anything to show for it

Rift level 30 is pretty much my limit right now. Any higher than that and the special enemies randomly one-shot me for seemingly no reason. As in, I'm just strutting along then suddenly my body flies off-screen and when I resurrect there are special enemies just outside the screen I died in. I can still complete the Greater Rifts and such above level 30, but it tends to suck most of the time.

And this is why you don't play with nukes.

Wait until you get into the Greater Rift 80 range, it starts to get s l o w

Honestly, I loved the Nioh trial, pretty big souls fan, but it feels quite different, the combat is very Team Ninja, but I totally agree with your description of it. The inventory management and RPG leveling mechanics feel unnecessary, they are kinda cool to look at at first, but you get so much loot that it can be a bit fiddly constantly checking whether the new item you found is better than what you are using.

There's backstabbing in the game, it's an unlockable.

Took this screenshot in Star Trek Online a long while back, thought it was super pretty. I really like the way the light from the nebula plays off the ship. Also, because it's a Nebula-class... in a nebula. Har har.
They released an updated Nebula Class model recently if you were not aware, it looks a lot better and canon looking.
I unfortunately don't have much time to play STO anymore, but I'm glad to hear they're updating models. Some of them were really rough around the edges before.
