Has someone released the "Voices of War" DLC sound files yet? Been wanting to hear all of Buck's silly voice lines.
Pretty much the day it came out.
Every time I try to search for them, I never get any results back.

Thank god that wasn't released
Thank god that wasn't released
as one who enjoys Lego styled games I would have enjoyed a 'Lego' Halo game.
To be honest imo having a kids styled game in a franchise that's trying to compete against battlefield and cod of duty, I think a game like that would have done a bit of harm to the franchise's image
Thank god that wasn't released
"Thank god people weren't allowed to have fun with something"
Not entirely related but I saw a Call of Duty action figure set ages 7-12 in a Toys R Us recently.
It's just kind of strange conceptually to have a Halo game which is targeted towards a more general kid-friendly family audience. I mean, I guess it's not that strange because Megabloks Halo sets do actually exist, but like, seeing an actual Halo game with that sorta style is a little strange.
If you look at the original it looks very colorful and cartoony by today's standards. Not to mention the grunts already behaved like kids.
Not entirely related but I saw a Call of Duty action figure set ages 7-12 in a Toys R Us recently.
Mega Bloks also does those. They even do WWII Call of Duty stuff.
Mega Bloks also does those. They even do WWII Call of Duty stuff.
There are CoD mega bloks with the modern stuff as well as Zombies
Hunter boarding which was cut from Reach, was actually first tested in Halo 3

The first version of the mission "Tip of the Spear" was done in Halo 3 and so was the first version of Invasion

Woulda been cool to see more hunter types. The hunter weapon is pretty good from a gameplay standpoint, but from a practical standpoint, you'd be much better off giving them some kind of anti-infantry weapon. Like a mega needler or something rapid fire.
Have you not played Halo 5? They have rapid fire arm gun things
snip this. No I haven't played halo 5's campaign. I cherish writing too much.
I haven't. would you touch someone with plague? Make love to a prostitute with visible STDs? Of course I haven't played halo 5('s campaign)
Those are not even reasonable comparisons, even as a joke
I haven't. would you touch someone with plague? Make love to a prostitute with visible STDs? Of course I haven't played halo 5('s campaign)
Jesus fuck. Halo 5's story was pretty much crap. Nobody will argue that. But everything else about it is a solid as shit. Not worth whatever BS you're going on about.
Jesus fuck. Halo 5's story was pretty much crap. Nobody will argue that. But everything else about it is a solid as shit. Not worth whatever BS you're going on about.
I thought the level design was average

Not worth whatever BS you're going on about.
The pre launch campaign didn't fit into the game either, "Hunt the Truth". Why did 343 hype up this idea that what we knew about Master Chief, wasn't entirely true? None of the events that occurred in this ARG are ever mentioned in game, or play a role in the story. Master Chief is framed for a massacre at a peace summit, Locke is hunting down Chief to kill him for becoming a Traitor. I'm doubtful to how 343 will fix their Halo Story for Halo 6, or how all these expanded universe books will play a role. Has 343 decided to ignore the gift the Librarian gave John in 117? Or the plotline for the novels about Humans possessing Geas of their ancestors/Forerunners?
So I'm making a vr tour of various parts of halo. As a test i got Bloodgulch working, replicating materials as best i could (using Bungie's assets) Naturally, I can't get the entire game in, but i'd like to get at least 7 zones from the game in my sim. What areas would you guys like to see in VR? This is just a walk-around thing, I don't intend to do anything more complicated than possibly getting functional guns in (It depends how complicated this turns out to be; more likely I'll just put dummy props of guns in to poke around with.)

Didact is slated to return at some point and Chief's Geas might become more relevant, but the human race's Geas? The plans for that crashed and burned when 343 and Microsoft found out how much people hated it. The Forerunner Saga itself probably wouldn't have even existed if Bungie hadn't half-assed Halo 3's plot. Best theory we have for Halo 6 right now is that we're going back to Reach. Rho 'Barutamee, shipermaster of the Long Night of Solace believed there was a Forerunner artifact on Reach that would give him the location of Maethrillian, the Forerunner "home"world. On Maethrillain, there is a device known as the Organon that either has incredible power over the Domain, or is the Domain. No one knows. Alternatively, it could lead to Bastion. And no one knows what that is either.

I woulda thought the best way to do halo 4+ would be to focus on a fractured galaxy. Some humans wanna use the weakness of the post-war UNSC to sede Some humans wanna get along and recover with the aliens. There's 'moderates' that just want to isolate humanity from aliens. Various seperatist factions wanna join aliens and fight the human 'empire'/become pirates Some hate the covenant so much that they'll continue to war against them Various itterations of the above that Like alien X but hate alien Y Alien X hating on alien Y because the covenant was the only thing keeping them friends. Various political bullshit (Like the prophets appealing to ONI for asylum) Most folks scrambling for forerunner artifacts for tech/religious reasons. X aliens hate Y aliens and wanna wipe them out. Like. Post war humanity and covenant is just gonna be a glorious mess. Also. This kinda writting just comes naturally to people. It's much easier to write logical political scenarios and have the game be about that than it is to justify the same conflict again on a smaller scale with less tech difference.

Watch Hunt the Truth Season 2. UNSC Brass wants good relations with Arbiter's faction, to the point they share fucking Trevelyan with them. Plenty of Colony worlds just want to stay the fuck away from any alien faction, especially the survivors of attacks Venezia was a safehaven for human terrorists and Covenant deserters and the two often work together. Speaking of Trevelyan, Marines tried to start a fight with a female Sangheili researcher. Outer Colonies aren't too friendly to aliens either. Jiralhanae terrorists have attacked Sanghelios in the past, and San'Shyuum have attacked Rtas 'Vadum and have a prototype Halo. San'Shyuum fucked off with the Huragok, they have no need of ONI. A significant portion of Earth's population are Covenant refugees now though. Salvage teams are already doing this with Covenant, UNSC and Forerunner tech. Unfortunately most of this is relegated to the EU, but it's there. It's why Halo 5 stung so much for the lore fans. After a bunch of 343 studio heads (namely Chris Schlerf) left in the middle of Halo 5's development, the EU went to shit and everything that had been built up was thrown out the window.
