What is the trouble you are facing? I thought halo 1 legendary was easy, and the easiest of all halo games
It is. But using the wrong weapons can get you stuck. Also playing on xbox with a controller. Fuck that
use the pistol
there is no other strategy
Except there is no pistol on the 3rd level of Halo so good advice there.
You need to use your sniper+ assault rifle combo. Take out the elites with the sniper, and the grunts with the assault rifle. Throw grenades in front of the door and inside the doors, you will see on your radar which door they will be coming out of. There is also invisibility and health packs in the corner. If you are getting overwhelmed, rush into one of the corridors that they are coming out of. The doors on each side are connected with a corridor so you can come out of the other one, and they don't really follow you in there.
Not sure how you are having difficulty with that part when the part before is much, much harder. The invisible elites are pretty easy to spot with their swords glowing.
So now that I have an xbox one I've played the campaign.
I dub Fireteam Osiris Team Tacticool Flashy Pants
I always thought Fireteam Cardboard was more accurate, but ok.

How would you recommend getting through Two Betrayals and Keyes? Both levels were ridiculous when I played through them on Heroic the other day.
I recommend using the Plasma Rifle in Halo 1, it is incredibly overlooked. Its accurate, plentiful and great against everyone, including the flood.

I've gone trough two betrayals without dying on legendary once. The beginning can be really tricky, as well as the end with the two wraiths. In the beginning, with the corridor just chuck all your grenades at the convenant and stay back, sometimes if you are lucky the sentinels will win, if not it's usually the jackals and the elite left, then go up close and personal with the shotgun. In the end, just stay back and try to snipe everything possible. The hunters can be insta killed with one shot if hit at the right place with a sniper. The wraiths can be destroyed with a rocket launcher, then you can get a ghost up there and sprint to the banshees.
Nothing else on that level is difficult.
As for Keyes, i'm not sure which part is difficult. Maybe the very end. But you can just jump down to the banshee there. Honestly, it's best just to watch hookie's legendary guide cause those are pretty good. Then it's just the matter of memorizing the level, knowing where the spawns are, what enemies will come and when, etc...
Then again i play halo 1 only on the PC. I tried anniversary on the 360 with a controller and couldn't get trough the first level so...
One of the nicer things about halo campaigns is that you can literally just run past enemies and encounters a lot of the time, save for a few setpieces based on defending an area
some areas it is just impossible. like infested high charity in halo 2.

It's not fun, it's ugly, and it sounds bad.
They didn't say anything about that.
It's not fun, it's ugly, and it sounds bad.
It has nothing to do with fun, audio or visuals. The plasma rifle (and to an extent the plasma pistol) is an incredibly effective weapon. It's found almost constantly wherever Elites and infected Elites are found (aka everywhere), does a great amount of damage to shields and can destroy Sentinels in seconds.
It's not fun, it's ugly, and it sounds bad.
What the hell are you going on about? He's talking about the funtionaly of the weapon, not your ignorant opinion of your the look, sound, and amusement of a weapon from a 16 year old video game.
Plus it has a great iconic look
It's not fun, it's ugly, and it sounds bad.
Hmm.
All of these things could also be attributed to you as well.
Thought I'd share this with you guys. A few days ago a well-known blogger in the lore community called Haruspis wrote an analysis on Cortana's character in relation to Halo 5. I know Halo 5's campaign is a dead horse at this point, but it's a very insightful read into what Halo 2, 3, 4, Human Weakness and Saint's Testimony had built up to with her character and sacrifice and just how much Halo 5 has destroyed of that. It's pretty long, but worth it. Link here.

Depends on how shitty the other guy is with the sniper.
I understand why Halo 5 on PC is dead. The controls are atrocious, I really struggled to land shots due to the weird ass mouse control and the fov made me a bit sick.

just get a controller
[editline]16th January 2017[/editline]
there used to be an fov slider, dunno about now

There was never one in Halo 5 PC.
There was never one in Halo 5 PC.
It used to be H5Tweak, would change FOV and FPS limit
also another program used here by a person I used to play with
Well you didn't say by outside tool, you just said there used to be a slider.
I assumed you meant in game.
An old question, but since I haven't played with it in H5
What are people's thoughts on the SAW?
I hated it in 4, balance wise. It was too strong for a normal weapon but too forgiving to be a powerweapon. Like the sniper was hard to aim and unforgiving if you missed, the rocket launcher was easy to dodge at range, the shotgun needed you to be real close. The SAW was just a straight upgraded AR, and I remember it being more effective than ripping off a turret.
I had similar misgivings about the needler being way more powerful than previous games (like it was weaker in DPS till you got them to explode, and the projectiles were slow, in earlier games, whilst in 4 you'd fill them really quick and they'd die really quick.)
Also. Being killed by the promethean rocket launcher felt cheap. The binary rifle wasn't fun for me either, but back to the SAW:
story wise, I thought the AR was supposed to be real powerful. If you're fighting the covenant, with energy shields and alien armour, everyone should get the most high caliber weapon that could throw down as much as it possibly can. There's little sense in not doing that and having an upgraded model around that does.

I was playing with him, felt the same thing, pulled out my controller.... and because the game only lets you go through presets of controls, my broken RB prevented me from playing with it. It was either i couldnt melee, couldnt throw grenades, couldnt boost, or couldnt use spartan abilities. The additional downside being that whichever i chose as unnecessary, it also moved the controls around to places i didn't like using.
So i guess im done with Halo 5, cause i have more priorities than replacing my controller which works for basically everything else.

oh alright, I apologise, I thought you meant overall

The reason I wanted Halo 5 on PC was to play with a mouse and keyboard. I fucking hate controllers for FPS games. Playing a console fps is a guaranteed trip to levels of rage I don't often experience.

The SAW fits a really nice niche in Warzone, especially firefight. It gives you a nice upgrade to the AR without having to burn too many req points and is good for a lot of weak enemies.
So, NotMajora from here released The Arbiter for SFM, and someone named Revo made an awesome screenshot of the one thing I wanted most from Arbiter coming back,
