Could be for Halo Wars 2, but they just used a generic Halo image.
I'm assuming they googled the word 'Halo' and took the 4th image from the image results.
Even if Halo 3: Anniversary was real, I'm so pessimistic about 343 that I'd honestly expect them to find a way to absolutely botch it.

Yeah, but the multiplayer is running on Halo 4's engine, and as a consequence doesn't play or feel like Halo 2. I also really don't like how they used their designs for the Spartans, weapons, and vehicles. Would have much preferred to have them just use the same style of designs as they did for the campaign. If Halo 3: Anniversary was real and used the Halo 5 engine and the current art direction in multiplayer, I would be beyond pissed.

So uhh this popped up on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/459220/
Unfortunately Microsoft have said that the windows 10 and steam version will not have cross play. Really annoys me for people who got it with Halo Wars 2, like myself. Would be nice if they gave us a steam code, doubt they will.
Um no. Nothing wrong with this line of thought, but: Concept art often morphs into something different in game, or is part of a level that gets altered or even dropped. The game story was "finished" when the campaign was bewing built. The marketing campaign was supposed to be a tease that focused on a subplot so that the main story wasn't "ruined" but plainly lots of players felt that was bait and switch. Not the intent at all, and there are also lots of folks who enjoyed the #huntthetruth and other aspects, but I make no bones about folks who were disappointed in either that not being the bulk of the plot, or in some cases, too much attention focused on Locke and non-Chief characters. All in all, mixed. A lot of the campaign was well receioved and a lot hit a bum note for different sets of fans.
http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=234023246&postcount=12433 Frank O'Connor is either lying or the story team at 343 is more retarded than I thought. Either way, whatever hope I had left for Halo 6's narrative just went out the window.
What parts of the campaign was well received?
What parts of the campaign was well received?
The credits since it was over
What parts of the campaign was well received?
Argent Moon's backstory and connection to some Escalation comics was nice, the Sanghelios arc is usually praised and the interactions between Blue Team's members were good even if Blue Team's use was inconsequential (just like the rest of the game!)
What parts of the campaign was well received?
Blue Team's opening mission (called Blue Team) was a pretty good level, a lot of the soundtrack was pretty good now that Davidge was out, actually seeing Sangheilios was nice even if we didn't really get to see proper sangheili civilisation
The credits since it was over
also every other cutscene in the game
Halo 5's narrative (from what I've seen, though I haven't played the game myself) seems to be a collection of good ideas executed in an iffy way. For example, Arby gets brought back, and that's great. He gets a B-plot, barely shows up and never even sees John, so that sucks. I could see them salvaging it, but we'll have to wait and see.
He and the rest of 343 are completely out of touch with reality.
Wouldn't say all of 343, Grim and Ske7ch are definitely aware of how the community feels even if they can't do much about it. As for everyone else... yeah. Frank O'Connor has treated the extended universe as his baby since Halo 3's reveal and Bonnie Ross is just clueless. So long as they're calling the shots not much is going to change.
a lot of the soundtrack was pretty good now that Davidge was out
You mean the soundtrack was just a bombardment of generic staccato strings because the creative guy in the duo left to do creative shit. [editline]18th April 2017[/editline] Sorry man Davidge contributed to the best parts of Halo 4's score imo and him missing was a bit of a gutpunch. His involvement was like the only thing that got me intrigued at the prospect of a Non-Bungie, non Marty Halo. Shame too, Certain Affinity isn't absolutely terrible as MP designers. The work they contribute to games as third party devs is usually pretty good so long as the foundation is there. When they're the decision makers though, yeesh. I REALLY appreciated the hazards in lockout though. That map had a serious flow problem with power weapons being placed in the spot where they'd be the most useful.

I still think it's amazing how Halo is one of the only games for me where I actively want to use unusable vehicles and stuff. I remember tons of videos from people who modded their game and tried to disguise it as a "How to LEGITIMATELY fly a Pelican/Phantom/Scarab/whatever" and me trying them all.
I'm just confused on how they managed to mod H2A. Unless that is faked some how.
The fucking Simpsons Hit & Run music.. Amazing.
Friendly reminder that Halo Wars: Definitive Edition releases on Steam tomorrow. Hopefully the first step in the right direction.

117, Arrival, and Never Forget "Midnight Version" were all great. Say what you will about the Didact's portrayal in Halo 4, his theme music was pretty cool.
So, how's Halo Wars on steam? Anyone here bought it?
I'm kind of waiting for it to go on sale (or for me to have enough money to blow 20 dollars on an 8 year old game) but I'm definitely excited for it.
So, how's Halo Wars on steam? Anyone here bought it?
I bought it, PC controls (keyboard & mouse) are a bit funky when comparing to the controls of other PC RTS games but you quickly get used to them. If you love Halo (Wars) as much as I do it's a solid buy IMO.
