Incorrect. The AI Animations aren't by default like any other Halo game at 60 FPS. Some guy is working to change that on opensauce.
Currently screeching like a spastic nerd.
Halo 3 Chief helmet signed by the voice actors of Chief and Cortana (Steve Downes and Jen Taylor).

SPV3 will also launch alongside with the option to do this, but it will be a beta and won't work 100% right, first person animations being one of those.

All animations have been fixed to support full interpolation no matter what your frame rate/refresh rate is. Except first person now which is being worked on. It should be easy to notice the differences in the video. Note that the fix for the animations were not developed by or developed for CMT. Some of us received early versions of the fix, myself and Masterz included.
The goal of the feature is to support a fully silky smooth interpolated Halo experience. The program also features some netcode fixes and work around so when it does come out officially Online play should be a lot better.

So since it's an engine change, it gets added to OS? Will the Bungie campaign also work in 60fps?
Sounds like I need to reinstall Custom Edition.
So the assault rifle (appears to be the 4/5 version) appeared in the trailer for Ready Player One

Yes. Any map you load up in Halo will show the interpolation, the original campaign included, and it looks great.
It is not included with Opensauce but is installed by moving a .DLL into your Halo Custom Edition directory.
It will be included with the SPV3 package so users won't have to be worried about installing it. It'll be released later in full for all of Halo Custom Edition.
I'm new to dewrito, and I noticed when certain stuff happens (like when I reload) my FPS seems to dip drastically, and then shoots back up to 60. Any idea what could cause this?
Operation: Spearbreaker and Serina are out for HW2.
edit: Plot is... ugh. [sp]The Lekgolo pair, Colony, are launching a Forerunner ship. But not to get reinforcements, escape the Ark, understand more about Forerunner tech, maybe find Mendicant Bias (who's only mentioned in a Phoenix Log) but instead to use it as a missile to destroy the Spirit of Fire. It makes sense but it's so... wasteful. Oh, and the ODST team scuttles the ship by dropping satchel charges from Hornets on it. Could have just retargeted the ship to destroy Atriox's main base but whatever. Only interesting piece of lore I've seen so far is that the Controller Sentinel was recently developed.[/sp]
halo ce with FUCKING INTERPOLATION OH MY GOD YESSSSSSSSSS
sorry but i can never fuckin play halo CE with a 60fps camera and 30fps animations holy fucking shit
especially spv3, that shit was a nightmare, i wanted to play it but it was so disorientating i didn't enjoy it, good fucking work opensauce team, jesus
I just limited my FPS to 30 when playing Halo 1 on PC.
My old GPU would coil whine when I played CE without vsync :v:
Would anyone care to play Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 on a regular basis? I miss the old days of having a bunch of Xbox Live buddies to play team slayer or custom games with. I'd love to get a crew of Facepunchers to roll with.

I'm waiting till the back compat update comes out to relive Halo 3 again
So Halo Online is currently in the top 3 played games on Twitch, due to three big streamers playing it, with a total of 33,000 viewers. It is unbelievably surreal to see HO be one of the top games on Twitch, just behind PUBG and League. I suspect the player base is about to grow immensely.
Maybe that's what it takes to get 0.6.0 out the door? :v:

Who are the streamers?
EDIT: It's naded, summit, and shroud.
Summit1g is the 3rd most followed twitch streamer.
New community update: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/summer-sizzle
Highlights:
The list of things the team would like to do in Halo 5 is seemingly never-ending. The reality is that much of those items are left in limbo until there’s either a critical need to greenlight a patch (an experience-ruining exploit, for example) or a larger initiative comes into play (supporting the launch of a new console is a good one). Once it became clear that Halo 5 would be receiving an update for Xbox One X this Fall, teams across the studio started taking stock of what else might make sense to include in that update.
I can’t go into all of the specifics of the Fall update quite yet, but suffice it to say that if all goes according to plan, there will be a variety of other cool odds and ends included beyond 4K support. A number of high profile bugs are being actively worked on in addition to a few things that I think will be genuinely surprising. We’ll have more to share on that soon enough but today what I want to talk more about the Halo 5 sandbox.

As we look ahead to a Fall game update the Sandbox team is using that release as an opportunity to make some tuning refinements and adjustments to a number of weapons in Halo 5. As part of our commitment to transparency and open communication, we want to kick off this conversation today as an FYI for the community.

The team is very eager to get the first pass at these tuning changes into your hands to test ASAP. The production folks are quickly working through all of the logistics details, and while dates aren’t finalized just yet, suffice it to say that things will start moving very quickly. With the Fall update release deadline looming, it’s imperative that we get these changes into your hands ASAP to allow adequate time for feedback, analysis, and iteration.
By next week I hope to be able to share the next level of detail and start to go into more specifics around weapons that are being tuned and what the impetus is for each change. We should also have the final details around when/where this will get rolled out and how each of you will be able to playtest and provide feedback to the team here at 343.

Many things are still in flux - the team is always pushing to jam more and more into a CU since you never know if/when the next one might come. That said, you should temper expectations - I'm not aware of things like weapons, vehicles, enemies, etc.. being added in the Fall update.
https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/6rguf4/in_this_weeks_community_update_we_talk_about_an/dl5ymrr/
The tuning update will be global - so the eventual final changes to weapons will be the new default values in every game mode. Currently I don't think vehicles are getting 'tuned' but the WZ team is also looking again at some baseline stuff like energy earn rates, REQ costs, etc..
I'm curious to see how they'll deliver with this "epic" update without adding new req items. So far none the updates have really disappointed me but we'll see.
Is anyone even going to buy the Xbox one x?
I'm not. No real point since I don't really play a huge variety of games on console.

Yap Yap has been announced.
Never before in the history of ever has the Halo universe known such a tactical genius, such a paragon of being amazing, such a specimen of ravishing Grunt appeal…until now. UNTIL YAPYAP. YapYap was once a sub-sub-sub Deacon in the Covenant Ministry of Sanitation until the fateful day he joined (was captured by) Atriox and the Banished and cleverly maneuvered his way up the chain of command (was slower than the other Grunts at avoiding eye contact when the job needed to be filled) to lord over (scream mostly ineffectually at) all the Grunts in the service of the Banished.
I thought YapYap died in Halo 3? Or was that YapFlip?
