Despite the fact that they've fucked up the story pretty irreversibly with the last game (so much so that I still don't want to touch it), but the new designs are so good I'm actually excited for it. The Mark VI armor looks perfect, and the Marines' armor is the perfect blend of Reach's revamped Halo 1 look and Halo 2's mean, green, fighting machine uniforms.
Apparently there's a pretty heafty time skip between this Halo and Halo 5. Enough for them to sweep some bullshit under the rug if need be.
TBH this is all vertical slice stuff.
It's all in game engine but rendered on a workstation PC. The xbone can handle this stuff but only in select circumstances when not a lot is going on.
The halo 2 anniversary helmet just looks like generic blanket edgewear
I was watching thinking it was some nature game and when Master Chief's classic helmet popped I literally yelled out loud "WHAT". It totally caught me off guard. Now giving it a closer inspection, every piece of artstyle we've seen was from the old artstyle (Pelican hmmmmmm) and every bit of it felt like classic Halo, it actually looked like someone went through both artstyles and picked what worked and what didn't (Forerunner architecture looks more slick but not floaty type, and I'm OK with post Halo 3 warthog). It was totally refreshing and I hope 343 continues with this. It felt like the game I fell in love with 15 years ago.
Did anyone notice, in the past few months how 343 has changed? The MCC commitment, the mature discussion, positive feedback and frequent technical details and teases in Halo Waypoint articles. I think the dormant light inside me for Halo just sparkled in these recent months and gives me hope for the future of a series I thought I wouldn't care anymore.
Sorry for the emotional rant.
tbh I feel like blur rushed through those cutscenes. Reverse phantom aside, there's a lot of instances of assets being rough and shots being rendered at low noisy sample rates.
Wasnt h2a being done around the time Tim Miller was doing Deadpool? That would explain a hell of a lot.
Halo 5 Guardians is coming to pc.
This page was updated today to include windows 10 Halo 5
If you check the google cache it doesnt have that before.

so Halo 5 PC announcement at PC Gamer Show? I think so.
Wow, nice catch on that.
Halo Infinite was a misdirect so that no one would be looking at the Halo 5 page!
So is Infinite supposed to be Halo 6? A spin off? Whats going on?
I hope to god it isn't open world.
Whats the name of the piece of music that plays during the Chief reveal?
From just watching the trailer it does seem to me like it's indeed gonna be in some way an open-world game. The fact there's a day-night cycle adds in to this.
I do have to say it looks pretty interesting, and gives me a bit of that Combat Evolved feel.

Thank you so much, It was driving me mad trying to find it. I obviosuly didn't look hard enough!
ok so I'm replying to this post again separately because I'm starting to get the suspicion it's a mistake.
Both the cached version and the current version make references to Windows 10 PCs in the source code, but only the new one has the Windows logo in it.
Although none of them make reference to Halo 5: Forge, I think this could have been related to that.
its a sequel.
Can no no one read?
Shouldnt it just be called Halo 6: Infinite then or are 343 trying to just brush aside anything to do with 5 under the rug?
It’s a soft Reboot
To be honest I wish they would've kept the numbering for 6, I was actually hoping for no subtitles. It does feel awkward to drop numbering now, feels like they should've done that with Halo 5.
And as far as the actual game goes, we've seen how non-representative 343i's bullshots can be, check out Halo 4's promo screenshots from E3 2012. I'm betting that dynamic resolution will return in a big way, and the base Xbox One will hover between 720p and 900p most of the time, while the One X will bounce between 1440p and 2160p.
If they're bull shots they're not very good bull shots.
They're probably referring to Forge PC.
Look at FlandersNed's post above.
I was about to buy an XB1 S model and now I'm buying the fuck outta it, thanks 343
I hope the PC port is good too. I'd love to see this have crossplat saving so I can play 1080p144 on PC.
I saw rumour that the SP and MP will be released independently. With the SP being first.
You mean infinite or?
Yes
oh nice
So the NVIDIA YouTube channel uploaded highlights from Microsoft's E3 conference, and Halo Infinite is the thumbnail. They've never uploaded videos in the past on games that are console only.
Subtle confirmation for Halo Infinite on PC?
Feel free to tell me if I'm full of shit.
It's already been confirmed that Halo Infinite is coming to PC.
It was announced last E3 that every first party microsoft game will be both PC and X-Box.
i've not played halo since 4 and that one made me lose interest, hopefully infinite is on pc and good
the artstyle looks like it's going to be more like a continuation of 3's artstyle in terms of armor so i'm already starting to be interested
