Man, the UNC: Rogue VI mission just wrecked my shit, took me more than an hour to finish it. At least I have my specialization class really early in the game.
God, I hated that assignment. Even doing that at a higher level, I keep getting fucked over by those rocket drones.
I never did like the mission, thought it was pointless. I do think it is a pretty cool thing though now that i know that the VI is [sp]EDI[/sp]
What's the funest class/military specialization in ME1? Doing a replay of all the games, I tried Soldier in my first playthrough.
Vanguard is insanely fun IMO. You just fly at people (not in ME1 though) and shoot them in the face with a shotgun.
Vanguard is insanely fun IMO. So far I haven't regret it at all. I'm absolutely wrecking shit with Kaidan and Garrus in my squad.
I might try Adept for my next playthrough. Every single one of my other playthroughs have been Soldier.
I just completed the trilogy for the 4th time. Good run, now all I have to do is wait for ME4. It'd be cool if you play as Javik during the Prothean war with the reapers. According to one of my conversations with him [sp]Apparently he was something like the Commander Shepard of his cycle[/sp] so it'd be pretty cool to play as him.
I think that's what they might do, since they did hint at it in a recent interview. The only downside is that I think it won't be as interesting as Shepard's story.
Decided to play with HD textures for ME3, well, everything okay, but those fingers kill me. They are so ugly...
So I was watching ME clips on youtube, and I stumbled upon this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rVD5m9thWxQ
I think that's what they might do, since they did hint at it in a recent interview. The only downside is that I think it won't be as interesting as Shepard's story.
On the contrary, I could see it being very interesting. Javik makes it sound like humanoids were the exception and not the rule, and nobody had less than four eyes, so at the very least the 'non-humans' would be visually different. The only problem I foresee is making Javik's emotions as apparent as Shepard's. We obviously connect more with Shepard than the four-eyed crab man, so if the next protagonist is an alien I'm curious to see how they'll make us empathize with him/her.
I have doubts they'll managed to have a game with an alien protagonist out on the market.
vote for an Origin sale and win a 360 game what
I'd personally go for the hardcover graphic novel collection.
I have doubts they'll managed to have a game with an alien protagonist out on the market.
They could also go in the other direction in time and use Liara. She's human enough to show emotion we're familiar with and still has head tentacles.
They could also go in the other direction in time and use Liara. She's human enough to show emotion we're familiar with and still has head tentacles.
I doubt that EA would publish a game with a female protagonist. Publishers see that kind of stuff as taboo.
I doubt that EA would publish a game with a female protagonist. Publishers see that kind of stuff as taboo.
Lol what is Mirror's Edge then?
I doubt that EA would publish a game with a female protagonist. Publishers see that kind of stuff as taboo.
That's pretty stupid honestly, I don't see any good reason for that to be stigmatized the way it is. Maybe they could pull the Liara-isn't-technically-female card again.
They could also go in the other direction in time and use Liara. She's human enough to show emotion we're familiar with and still has head tentacles.
I genuinely wouldn't mind Liara as a protagonist.
Hey guys, chapter II of Collected Fates is up. Took me long enough to re-write it. Should I upload to FF.net?
So do you goons think that there will be a new ME title announced on next week?
Mass Effect won't be at E3 this year, but EA will have plenty else to talk about! Watch the EA 2013 Preview on 6/10
https://twitter.com/masseffect/status/342691212865724416 Sorry man.
So do you goons think that there will be a new ME title announced on next week?
I think it will be another year until they make an official announement. At least I hope so. Then I know for sure they aren't rushing it.
I have this awful feeling it's gonna suffer from the same issues ME3 did in terms of the rush factor. ME3 was a great game and I loved it, but there's no denying it was severely gimped by time constraints.
What would you guys give your final ratings on ME3? For me its 6/10 for the main game and 11/10 for the Citadel DLC.
8/10 main game(the ending ruined it, no DE, choices didn't matter basically, catalyst is a kid who you met in ME3 and apparently had nightmares over failing to save, even though you could have lost a lot of people from Akuze to suicide mission). 10/10 Citadel DLC. Again, the nightmares should have been different, maybe first one could have the person who you left at Virmire and you failing to save him/her, killing Wrex if you failed to convince him(or fail to stop Ashley) and then being killed by a Reaper. Then you wake up from the nightmare. The 2nd one could have you fail to save the people who died in the suicide mission(either you squadmates being killed/taken away or the colonists) and if sole survivor, nightmares over the thresher maw attacks you went through in Akuze, again ending with you getting killed by a Reaper. Then you wake up. The final nightmare could have you failing to save the people who died in ME3, then you hearing the last few moments of the Bahak system before the asteroid hits the relay(if you played Arrival), and the last part of the nightmare has you in a losing battle on Earth where Harbinger kills you, then you wake up. Plus, I personally thought the catalyst should have been [sp]Avina. She was in the Citadel, she could have taken the form of an Asari VI to make people think she was made by the Asari. Plus, it would have made somewhat more sense because you saw her throughout the 3 games, not some kid who apparently made Shepard have nightmares.[/sp]

Shepard is supposed to be a blank slate the player uses to interact with the world, what's the point of letting the player define who he is if he's just going to fuck off and do his own thing at the same time?
The nightmares were really dumb if very few people have died anyways. Now having literally all the suicide crew and some more? Now that's a lot more fun to go through.
What would you guys give your final ratings on ME3? For me its 6/10 for the main game and 11/10 for the Citadel DLC.
8/10 for the standard game. With DLC 9/10 Mostly because of the nonsensical endings. I wouldn't say that the whole game was destroyed because of it, but it effected the experience a bit. Extended Cut made it feel a whole lot better.
