Pretty underwhelming, but lets you know how the Nomad functions.
I've been curious how big the open areas of the game are, and that looks pretty big. Wish they didn't cut away when they were driving there though just so there was a better sense of scale.
Only Drew Karpyshyn can save us from this. Most days I think complaining about political correctness and "virtue signalling" is stupid, but even I can't help but groan a little when it's so clear that these people are far more concerned with demonstrating the right politics rather than telling good stories.
and it only took you 8 years to catch up :ok:
On the bright side, if it really does suck, this will probably be the final nail in the coffin for most Bioware fans. Myself included
The MP is worth it; shame it's literally baggage attached.
The MP is worth it; shame it's literally baggage attached.
Interesting assessment, considering the game isn't in any member of the public's hands right now.
To be fair, the MP in ME3 was actually really fun and the same team is doing it in Andromeda. It's a reasonable assumption.
If you're not sure just pay once for origin access or wait for some streams to pop up when early access begins, or better yet wait for reviews.
interesting that they made the mining "minigame" from ME2 a little more involved this time around. Looks really cool to just kinda drive around.

I see people unironically defending Dragon Age 2. Hell, one of my best friends practically cheerleads for Bioware.
Apart from everything past Thessia, Mass Effect 3 really wasn't that bad.

I'm not sure why that annoys me this much, but it does.
Apart from everything past Thessia, Mass Effect 3 really wasn't that bad.
I'd say that everything apart from the intro to the near end is the best feeling Mass Effect and trumps 2 in practically every way. It's just a shame that, nevermind the lackluster ending, the intro was such a stinker.
Apart from everything past Thessia, Mass Effect 3 really wasn't that bad.
the whole storyline of tuchanka and curing the genophage was pretty masterful in my opinion. I loved everything about it fantastic
For real? I feel like outside of the janky animations (and even that's in the spirit of the original trilogy), and the abundance of female Krogans, the game SCREAMS Mass Effect.
Can you define why? It really is, at best "mass effect ultralite" in my opinion. You've got the sheen but nothing actually seems like it fits with that world. I mean for christs sakes how did they build multiple Citadel size ships when the Citadel itself was created by the reapers and in the original games was so complex, and huge that it was unforeseeable to build a similar sized ship?
But why don't the Drell use enviro-suits?

The only things "Mass Effect" missing from it that I can tell, other than the Milky Way and Shepard of course, are mass relays and Uncharted Worlds (the song, not the concept).

[sp]Mordin getting gut-shot in the tower, blasting Wrex out a window in the aftermath, managing to peacefully resolve the Quarian/Geth issue... only to go Destroy in the end anyway.[/sp]

Weird because the wiki describes the Nexus as "Taking inspiration from the much larger Citadel". I'd trust the official BioWare explanation more than IGN.
Though I did like some parts of Mass Effect 3 when I was playing them, once you realize all the good stuff is just the writers not completely fumbling endings to storylines fully established by Mass Effect 1, you start to realize where the credit is really due.
Frankly at the level that "games journalism" operates I wouldn't entirely be surprised if that's just whoever wrote that video going, "It looks similar to the Citadel, it must be the same size." Though on the flip side of that I wouldn't be surprised either if it was supposed to be similar in size to the Citadel because most of the stories we've seen with games recently have been terrible and often make a point to contradict themselves whenever they can.

The Nexus is a fraction-scale model designed to evoke the Citadel for continuity for the Citadel Space species. Avina just says "smaller in size", without more information there's no way to be sure how much smaller exactly the Nexus actually is.
3
It did, hence the reliance on the build team's effort mostly. The only political crap you'll find is the card descriptions, and the art asset quality is 'good' enough'.
assessment
The MP alpha was two months ago, there isn't time to change anything from it other than bug fixing and general clean up. If you liked ME3MP and you like verticality and combo spam and setting your own difficulty, you like MEAMP.
thessia
thessia starts with you watching commandos stare blankly at the hole parts of their magic pew pew things backwards and ends with Kai Leng. mars is literally this: batmanbomb.jpg While Liara casually explains she's figured out everything that before was piecing togethers years of work in about a month and then Illusive Man gives Trump's acceptance speech. The two missions after that are much better, but Mars is bad, just really bad. Like psychic cerberus operative putting bombs on your rail and dr. cameltoe, the just arrived doctor no one seems to know anything about (including the Shadow Broker, the guy who's job is to know all the things)but just accepts at their super top secret facility to running the Mars op with what is apparently 8 guards, who all take their lunch break at the same time except for two.
