Well it looks like we can make as funny characters as we could in Mass Effect 2.
I can't wait to get Mass Effect Andromeda for my inevitable playthrough as Sloth Ryder. Somebody made a review response towards the RPS preview of ME:A Apparently the legitimate complaints this time around is the UI, planet scanning, ME1 level of loading but with trams instead of elevators, and some tedious but not required side-quests within the 20 hours he played of ME:A. Everything else seemed positive. Mileage may vary on how you feel about dialogue choices feeling like variations on the same sentiment or weak companion characterisation. tbh I'm fine with the dialogue choices, I have nothing to go on by this but I've a feeling it's gonna be like DA:I instead of Fallout 4's "Yes - Sarcastic Yes - No but yes, put this in my quest log - SHAUN!!" system.
Can someone correct me IF I'm wrong? If I purchase Origin Access for 5$, I will be able to test the game for 10 hours. If I purchase Origin Access & ME:A, will I be able to play full game several days before Official Release Date?

I believe you get a discount with ea/origin access though.
it's only 10%
A discount is a discount
Lirik is gonna be streaming the game in about 10 mins. He's usually brutally honest about games.
There's something that doesn't quite convince me about the created characters: they have this odd plasticine quality to them. I did find the created characters from Dragon Age: Inquisition great however, so take this with a grain of salt
Probably because the spec shader is on the skin not the eyes like it's supposed to be
If I sign up for the month of Origin access and then cancel it it stays active until the end of the month, yes? I'd like to play the game early to make sure it runs well but I hate auto-renewing subscriptions.

They do with the console version at least.
Origin Access is a quite decent deal though if you haven't got many EA games in your library.
I just started my Origin Access and it said this if that's useful to anyone Honestly a really solid service now that I look into it, plus if I end up liking Mass Effect Andromeda as much as I hope I will, I'm getting it 2€ cheaper now too.
It's a greater discount to buy the game on GMG, than it is to get it with EA Access.
I got EA Access, in part 'cos I wanted to try out Furi as well.
Doesn't sound so bad
Honestly, if the sidequests are just like finding shards or such as DA:I had, or just in general fetch quests - I think I can just avoid that and enjoy the game. Like always with BioWare, the animations leave a lot to be desired but ME:A really doesn't sound too bad to me right now. Just waiting for the review embargo to lift and my friends to tell me how the game is.

You get a 10% discount (even on new games), early access and a shitload of older games. Plus it's only $5/mo or $30/yr. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/origin-access/vault-games

So if you want a demo for this, you essentially have to try EA Access? [editline]15th March 2017[/editline] I hope the squad mates don't suffer from what the squadmates in DAI suffer from. What the fuck is the point of companions who just get stuck in an idle animation and get you killed by being a liability in most fights
The trial is available now.
The trial is available now.
Downloadin'. Really wished that they had a preload for this, but oh well.
Wait what, mine doesn't have a download button that I can see [editline]15th March 2017[/editline] Oh nvm, you have to go to the store page
So, is anyone going to play the singleplayer during the trial or are you guys going to just do the multiplayer? I'm planning on leaving the singleplayer until the full release.
So, is anyone going to play the singleplayer during the trial or are you guys going to just do the multiplayer? I'm planning on leaving the singleplayer until the full release.
Plan on playing the singleplayer, just to see how the writing is. I've heard a mixed bag of things, from "I want to see what happens next," to "there's almost nothing good here." So.
I'm probably going to fart around with the character creator and try a little bit of the SP, but I'll mostly be playing the MP like I did with ME3.
So, is anyone going to play the singleplayer during the trial or are you guys going to just do the multiplayer? I'm planning on leaving the singleplayer until the full release.
I'm thinking of splitting it up pretty evenly. Multiplayer is the part of the game I'm worried least about, so I at least want to get a taste of the singleplayer to see if it's interesting enough to pick up.
Ye, I'm planning on doing the first mission and experience a bit of the planet exploration, then just MP.
The scanning looks so Metroid Prime that I can't help but have an affinity for it.
The scanning looks so Metroid Prime that I can't help but have an affinity for it.
The first time I saw it I went "I should play Metroid Prime again". I just love scanning stuff and reading about it, and just the little bit of scanning makes it feel a lot more involved than the Codex in, say, Mass Effects prior.
