yep. black window, no sound, no reaction, can't full screen it have to go into task manager to kill it so there's definitely something that's getting stuck on launch do you have avast by any chance?

Loaded perfectly for me, and I'm 53% downloaded. Not running Avast, but BitDefender if that helps. Also on latest NVIDIA drivers since the game yelled at me.

The game is really, REALLY good so far. I'm absolutely in love with the combat. My first two powers were pull, and throw. I've been doing the thing from the combat trailer, where you chuck dudes at other dudes. I'm not really feeling the "no characters are interesting, the story is bland," thing either. I've been captivated since the opening cutscene. Cora is neat, but I don't really vibe with the whole "I'M MILITARY" vibe she has. Liam however, I really like. As for technical performance? My 1070 and i5 get around 70 - 90 FPS depending on the area. Absolutely stunning so far. Picked up a pre-order of the standard edition. If the rest of the game is as good, or better than this opening, I'll be happy.

That could also help.

Just beat the first mission on hardcore, died about 10 times, enemy AI seems to be relentless, likes to flank you when you focus on just one enemy at a time. It's also graphically impressive.

The dynamic cover system is very cool. Everything in combat, really flows nicely. Also, it seems like overload has a charge to it now, so you have to hold it down, but it'll take out more of a shield AND stun someone right after? Really neat little things like that.

The movement in this game is SO good. I can see myself losing hours just wandering planets, just to be able to jumpjet and shit around.

Game seems solid so far. Haven't noticed any poor voice acting, at least in the prologue, and most animation work is decent. Visual direction is quite good as well. Also it's piss easy to make a better looking Ryder than the default, though the character customization is seemingly more limited than it should be.
