So what you're saying is that its a decent game with a few polishing problems that everyone jerked into a wild frenzy :s:
Sounds like just about every modern counter-hype train, yep
What the fuck is going on with the character creator? The presets have different eyes... but the creator doesn't???
The combat feels pretty good, especially the dodging. There are some neat new powers, and I like that the global power cooldown is gone now. It makes getting combos in much easier. The game still has some funky animation shit going on, and for whatever reason characters extend their mouth out like a fish when they're talking. There's also a lot of cases where you'll accidentally interrupt character dialogue, which can be a little jarring at times. Character creation is somewhat limited, they give you a decent amount of options but not quite enough. The preset face you pick determines your basic features so if you don't like the way your character's eyebrows or mouth looks you have to pick a different face as there's no options for things like rotation or shape. Some of the faces (for female at least) have a pretty severe underbite or overbite which can't seem to be remedied, unless I'm missing a jaw depth slider. You can also customize the appearance of your twin, which is a nice option, although I'm fine with Scott's default face.
Nope, you pretty much have to use the preset and decide from there, what to make your character.
I... can't make a white guy not look like a cunt.

Honestly after playing it for a bit, i hate it. The combat is fluid until i need to get into cover, in which i feel like I am either missing something or not pressing a button. I get behind it and then they still hit me because they still have the slightest shot on me and i die. I don't like how your health doesn't automatically regenerate like it does in the previous games, instead you have to find the health packs after a fight because if you try to get to one during the fight, you die since its out in the fuckin open. I pressed every key available and there is no way to make my squadmates come back to me after sending them to a postion or attack something. The game says to press x but that just makes them both go to my position and stay there. Furthermore i hate how i cant control their ability's. I haven't played far into the game yet but i haven't seen any horrendous models or fucked up animations yet, though they could of just been not that noticeable as us analyzing a 4 minute video for 5 days 24 hours a day. Though that one girl on the nexus still looks so fucking stupid with that makeup. The way the game plays for me seems makes it seem like your supposed to get into cover but then you do 0 damage unless you get closer in which you just die. It feels like the game wants you to be jumping around fucking people up but you die if your not in cover.

I got the sense that the more you level up the less time you'll have to spend in cover, with all the hp/shield upgrades and armor mods and such. [editline]15th March 2017[/editline] ninja'd by Bubbles the Asari Doctor
well i guess i'm not playing andromeda tonight wasted an hour of my game time already lmao
I'm glad that despite our differences, we can all agree the Quarians are the worst race.
The worse race is probably that other alien race that contacted the citadel and was mentioned a few times but we never actually saw, then they decided to destroy all of their technology in the hopes that the reapers would think they weren't advanced enough to kill [editline]7[/editline] The Raloi, that's what they were called
I'm glad that despite our differences, we can all agree the Quarians are the worst race.
That's a funny way of spelling Batarian
Dammit I'm getting stuck in the spoilery cutscene right after the intro. I've already seen it happen 3 times right until the end, where it either gets stuck during it or it ends and I get a neverending black screen. That aside though, I'm just going to say that 10 hours ain't cutting it. I really want to play Mass Effect Andromeda now. I will also say that presentation-wise it's definitely BioWare's best. Maybe it's because I've been playing a lot of BioWare games recently, but the janky animations - while noticeable - aren't hitting me as hard as I thought they would. It's also the first time I'd ever say I actually like a menu in a Mass Effect game, plus the cutscenes are a lot more vivid and cinematic compared to their earlier stuff. It's also definitely the best intro level to a Mass Effect game so far.
How's the performance, guys? Also, any DAI-style FPS locks?
How's the performance, guys? Also, any DAI-style FPS locks?
I'm getting significant FPS drops on a 980 with an i7-5820k on all ultra. Seems to be an optimization problem, though the game looks pretty nice when maxxed out
How's the performance, guys? Also, any DAI-style FPS locks?
Performance seems solid. Maintaining 60fps on ultra most of the time, never dipped below 35fps on FX-8350 and GTX 970. Its taking me some getting used to as the enemy likes to flank (assholes), but once I stop compulsively hitting spacebar or ctrl near cover, I should be fine :v:
The fucking first dropship that appeared came in covered in t-posing enemies
Can confirm that Peebee shoots her Carnifex backwards, happened on my playthrough
Like. Every animation is half baked. This game just -isn't- finished. I don't fucking understand
game/computer keeps crashing right after talking with the female krogan on nexus(or whatever that place is called). getting pretty frustrating
I think I realized what's going on and it's hilarious. I think this is the second ME4. Like, they fully completed the gameplay but had to scrap the actual game at some point and quickly make something from the remnants.
I was kind of off to a bad start and had difficulties designing a character I was comfortable with because of the limited character creator. It is disappointingly minuscule compared to just about any other recent BioWare title. Eventually after some fiddling I got a character who looked a lot like Casper Van Dien from Starship Troopers. The twin only took me a few changes to have a satisfying look, surprisingly.

I don't mean any offense but its just the strange to make such a wild assumption. https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/32yzxf/last_month_i_took_a_random_survey_about_mass/ Does mention both the Khet aka the Kett and the Remnants and most of these features/content are in the game fully or in a reduced form and this is from over a year ago.
Is the multiplayer horribly laggy for anyone else? It keeps doing this super weird slow-down and then all of my inputs get delayed by two seconds. It felt like I was playing Max Payne or something. Also there's no text chat, and other players' microphones are incredibly loud. There's no in-game settings for voice volume and the master volume slider doesn't affect it.
Oh, apparently you can't go past a certain point in the campaign if you haven't bought the game yet. That's nice
Oh, apparently you can't go past a certain point in the campaign if you haven't bought the game yet. That's nice
You can't at all during the beta/demo phase. Regardless if you bought it or not.

Although DA:I was also on Frostbite, so it can't be engine inexperience.
Why would they not gate/lock you? Its a trial. 10 hours is enough to decide if you want a game or not.
