Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?

To be fair, if you were convicted in a U.S court you might be able to get it dropped because you were charged and convicted of a crime you didn't commit.
But yeah they could of acknowledged it better

The whole, shall we say, surreal tone of the side quest comes from the fact all the evidence against the NPC is circumstancial at best and you aren't given the option to acquit him for the murder charge, but then charge him for attempted murder afterwards (instead, you either punish someone you have no solid proof whatsoever is guilty or you let him go away completely scot-free with rainbows and candies on the background)
I don't even know why he got arrested.
They have literally zero proof until you find some. Like. I could right now say one of you murdered someone you were at a party with. Congrats you're now just as guilty.

It's almost as though Tann and Addison are incompetent and Kandros prefers quick resolutions to things.
At the moment I'm not exactly digging the whole [sp]"My father was working on an advanced A.I. which is now fused with my own nervous system due to me being dead for a couple of minutes after the prologue"[/sp] part of the plot, the reason being I was enjoying a "First contact" story before it and we got through this already in the original trilogy.
I had to tune down the game's AA because I was lagging like crazy while inside the Tempest, and, since I feel I'll spend a lot of time in there, I couldn't take chances.
Finally, Suvvi is currently my most relived character from Andromeda: her design is shit (to be fair, on par with basically all humans character around) and, althought I love all British accents, I usually don't get a single jackshit about what she's trying to say to me

Can't exaggerate this. :disgust:
Jesus Christ I had seen most of those clips before but this video still had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.
Is there any reason to use a shotgun that isn't the Disciple?
What about the dahn(dhan?) It damn near two shots everything.

Apps back up but I still can't deploy strike teams. e.e
I'm pretty sure Shepard does get mentioned at one point, although I have not found out when.
I know that other characters such as [sp]Saren[/sp] get mentioned.
Makes sense, since everyone left around the time ME2 got going apparenlty.
[sp]You can even encounter some Cerberus Scientists who namedrop the Lazarus Project. Though for some reason they're willing to explain their illegal research and plans to pretty much anyone willing to listen.[/sp]
Dhan's projectiles are a tad slow. Gotta lead your targets. I am not good at that.
Is anyone else having issues with this game's voice chat? People with mics keep blasting my eardrums out.

I think theres a bug right now with mics. I had mine set to disabled and it was always on. Setting it to PTT fixed that. And the default setting is disabled, which means everyones mic is spamming the shit out of everyone else always. And for volume, it was always ear destroying level.
So yesterday Drack managed to clone himself.

This shit is the worst thing ever when someone apparently plays with their mic glued to their speakers.

That bug takes me back, reminds me of KOTOR where I somehow cloned my character and later killed him.

I think the talent just isn't really there anymore, but they don't want to admit it. There's probably a lot more new/inexperienced people there than we'd think. Especially with all the rumors of it not being a good work environment if you don't kiss ass with the top. Nothing gets rid of experienced people faster than bad management.

Sounds like a normal Sci-Fi plot to me.

Well it helps that this game was made by an offshoot of bioware that hasnt made anything before this.
You can definitely feel that it's by Bioware's B team, especially when compared to DA:I.

Maybe in terms of faces, and some of the dialogue, but the sidequests and overall story have me a lot more engaged than Inquisition.

Definitely, and the gameplay is obviously better, but stuff like camera work, animations, CC, lighting in cutscenes, it all feels like a step down.
Other stuff like casual writing feels off in this game compared to Inq, even if both games share writers, also VO direction feels like a mixed bag, some times it feels really good, other times it feels like someone was reading off a script without getting any direction(Tann, Addison), ofcourse this doesn't affect the companions, they feel top notch.
It's just that when it comes to cutscenes, cinematics and general story beats, DAI does things a whole lot better and smoother, but when it comes to actual gameplay MEA takes the cake.

There is one thing, actually, and it's the same thing that almost killed id: letting politics, either internal-personal, or external-policy run your company for you, and that's what happened here.
Wow, whomever designed the difficulties in this game can fuck themselves. I can literally SEE enemies spawning in the rooms I'm walking through

In MP I once had a Krogan randomly spawn right behind me in the corner of a room once. Killed me in one hit. :ok:
Aaand switched back down to normal. These fortresses are atrocious

It was also, amusingly, half the plot in the Citadel DLC.
I'm hoping that the sequel (if there is one) goes back to BioWare's A-Team. I really like this game, but I know there's so much untapped potential to it.
It's not as bad as everyone says it is. Definitely not a 6/10 or below but also not a 9/10 or above.
Just finished ME1. That was a satisfying ending. Did all assignments, went renegade in just about everything. And I always tend to be a goody two shoes in an RPG so it was a nice change of pace.
Ending spoilers
[sp]I let the council die and installed Anderson as Military Dictator. So satisfying after having been dicked around the whole game.[/sp]
Hanging up on the Council never gets old.
Hanging up on the Council never gets old.
I love at the beginning of Mass Effect 3, where Joker will offer to call up the Council so you can hang up on them like the old days.
Hanging up on the Council never gets old.
"Shepard. Are you calling just so you can hang up on us again?"
"You know it."
