Kroguard is so good, I almost never use my guns. Get a better DPS from spamming the headbutt.
"I'm starting to get a handle on these quests! Only 5 or 6 in my journal. I've got this." And then I check my email. And 12 more quests drop themselves firmly into my log. Back to Kadara, I guess.
Listen dude, it was worth it. Walking around and finding glyphs takes minutes, the satisfaction of having a purple monkey ant-eater thing in my room lasts forever.
I would have preferred a varren. Monkey thing doesn't play fetch, or scare away home(ship) invaders
Some of the smaller nods at the previous games like [sp]Zaeed's bastard son, Nyreen's cousin, the Kett talking about Turians having reach and flexibility[/sp] are all some pretty nice touches, mostly because they're not shoved in your face. [sp]Not like a certain Asari leaving a really hamfisted voice recording[/sp]
Is GreenManGaming a good place to buy the game? It's pretty cheap on there.
Is GreenManGaming a good place to buy the game? It's pretty cheap on there.
Bought it there, got my key instantly.
Bought it there, got my key instantly.
All I needed to hear. Thanks.
Completed the game last night at 89%, clocked in 68 hours, 59 minutes and 9 seconds, although about 30 minutes towards the end of that was spent just going to a couple of places, this was on Normal difficulty aswell because on Hardcore I was legit just getting my ass handed to me, it had been a while since I played Mass Effect on PC. Overall I'd say I'm rather happy with the game, haven't had nearly as many bugs or glitches as some other people might have had, I wouldn't rate this game that highly as a Mass Effect game however, I'd probably give it a 7.5 maybe an 8. Just wondering what the fuck the DLC is gonna be like, I'm hoping with get something akin to Citadel.
N7 Hurricane is by far the best smg in multiplayer to use. fun to use with tankie characters
N7 Hurricane is by far the best smg in multiplayer to use. fun to use with tankie characters
Personally I like the Equalizer, does a decent amount of damage and I don't have to worry about ammo, overheating also isn't that big of a deal either.
And you can press X (or whatever pc/ps4 equivalent) and solve them instantly with remnant keys (which you start finding right after the first encounter with it) anyway. You're "forced" to solve a single 4x4 space sudoku puzzle in the entire game. The horror.
Hey, I fucking hate Sudoku. This is supposed to be a free world, isn't it?!
More ME1 replay notes: I kinda wish that the asari kept the different types of important yet background-ish lore jobs like in ME1-2 to ME:A. I mean you meet Sha'ira, a consort who does all sorts of things for politicans, military generals and even randos. The Matriarch is a important figure in the asari society, known for teaching religion and philosophy (and so for being fucking OLD) before swapping sides to Saren [sp]she's also Liara's mom[/sp]. Hell even in ME2 we have a character who is a Matriarch, but runs a bar on that asari planet Liara's on, and helps provide background lore/a funny easter egg. Samara is part of the Justicars, a very strict sisterhood who travel asari space bringing down lawbreakers. In ME:A we have the doctor, Smiles Pee-Bee, and a bunch of generic background characters. There's no real continuation of these various types of important-yet-background characters/groups in the new game, at least when I got to mess around with the trial. Which is actually kind of sad, those tiny parts of society building is pretty cool for building a new world. Like even just a background mention of these types of organizations would be good. A insulting remark that a unknown to the PC Asari who runs a sort of "underground consort" on the Nexus? A rumored group of wannabe Justicars trying to start a new chapter? All would be better than the "We just didn't bring those here" explanation.

As Asari age they tend to settle and would likely have little interest in being part of the initiative. As for sha'ira she's not a consort, she's THE consort.

[sp]The ambassador to Aya is an asari, which I thought made perfect sense, though she's characterized no different than a human would be. Also I ran across an asari scientist who's comrade was bemoaning that she had been able to study multiple fields because of her life expectancy.[/sp] [editline]30th March 2017[/editline]
I get that part, but we just don't see ANY of those groups represented in the new game. All would be better than the "We just didn't bring those here" explanation.
This kind of touches upon a problem that Andromeda has that I've been toying with for a while now. The game world just feels really barren by comparison to the previous games. In ME1, you were being introduced to a brand new galaxy filled with unique races, societies and institutions. Each race was unique physically, but also had their own story in regard to government, history and society. And the game throws you right into the mix by, after the opening mission, dropping you right off in the cosmopolitan centre of it all - the Citadel, which provided a good opportunity to really explore some of the minutiae of this new galaxy. The Consort was a great example you mentioned, but we also see the interactions between Garrus and Executor Pallin as hinting towards the Turian sense of militaristic duty, or the Chorban mission in which a Salarian is covertly conducting illegal research on the Keepers, hinting at the Salarian willingness to play fast-and-loose with Council law and their adeptness at undercover work. The Council itself also fills this role: The Turian acts antagonistic towards humanity, the Asari plays the mediator, and the Salarian takes a neutral role, all indicating the attitudes through which humanity is being viewed. Everything just felt big, and you had a massive codex filled with lore to fall back upon if you really wanted to dig into the universe the game was taking place in. Conversely, in ME2, there was an attempt to maintain this sense of scope to the universe. Rather than taking place in Council space, the game takes place in the Terminus systems. The Citadel is replaced by Omega and Illium, both of which are still cosmopolitan in a sense but also showcase the piratical nature of the Terminus systems in different ways (at least one companion even mentions how Illium is just as dangerous as Omega, just cleaner). The game also gives us windows into Quarian and Geth societies that were not present in the previous games, and we get a very deep understanding of Cerberus, a group that was only glossed upon in ME1. And then there's Andromeda. The Initiative is already comprised of the races we already know everything about. There's the Angara, which are interesting but can't bolster this game on their own, and there's the Kett, who aren't native to the Heleus Cluster and thus their government and society are mainly just hinted about. And since so much of the game centers upon establishing a foothold for the Initiative within the cluster, the game struggles to reach that massive sense of scope that the previous games had. We're out on the frontier in Andromeda, not operating within major cosmopolitan areas as we did in previous games. In ME1 both Shepard and Humanity were small fish in a very big pond. In Andromeda, Ryder and the Council Races are already big fish in smaller pond.
Why is everything in ME1 so fucking expensive? Like I know I have to do sidequests, but upgrading weapons is just so much less interesting/fun than in ME2
Why the fuck do I keep finding Turian males with female voices and vice versa???
The Remnant Vaults could as well be my favorite locations in the game, but unfortunately they use up so much graphical memory I had to tone down the graphics a bit again (this time setting the shadows from ultra to high). Question: am I supposed to get all my six squad mates by the time I finish Eos? Because that would be a bit rushed, to be honest (I don't think they being "only" six is an issue, though)

Anyone knew where you can get the chest armor in this video?
Might be Initiative Spearpoint? I haven't looked at all the Initiative armour variants, not many boost biotics.
Yeah it's Initiative Shearpoint.
Where do you get it?
Where do you get it?
The Nexus vendor stocks it sometimes, and I've been finding it in random loot. I've probably broken down several full sets of it by now.
The Nexus vendor stocks it sometimes, and I've been finding it in random loot. I've probably broken down several full sets of it by now.
Hmmm maybe it only appears after a certain level. Haven't heard of it until now.
Hmmm maybe it only appears after a certain level. Haven't heard of it until now.
Yeah, a lot of armour variants only show up a bit later (Levelled loot, woo). I think I started seeing it around 35 - 40?
I don't like how there's basically no point to playing on anything other than Normal unless you like having to use more ammo on bullet sponging enemies, like Insanity fair enough, but you can just complete 5 Gold Strikes and get that achievement too. Honestly I really fucking hate when they get lazy with difficulty and just make the enemy do more damage and you do less, it's cheap as fuck.
i don't mind the split multi/single achievements. they're good enough for people who want to focus on only one game mode. if you're having problems with ammo, slap vintage sinks on everything. playing on insanity as an infiltrator and i still can down enemies with two or three headshots, doesnt feel like bullet sponges at all
