Oh holy shit, I've been reading some stuff on the subreddit. Some of the weapon mods do literally nothing in MP. Like, legit absolutely nothing.
Which ones? [editline]31st March 2017[/editline]
Seriously though why's almost every female companion gotta be a goddamn super-biotic?
What?
What?
Three of the five human females are super-biotics; Miranda, Jack, and Cora. All of whom have similar angst about it. Miranda 'cos of her being a designer product, Jack because of weird science, and Cora 'cos she couldn't find somewhere to "belong".

She's an average biotic who's an exceptional human. Pretty sure Jacob is stronger than her biotically.
I just bought the game but I'm not to happy with my trial character, is the game still fucked up if you start a second new game or did they fix that?
Cora's loyalty mission was pretty cool. Getting to [sp]fight through an ark that was badly damaged[/sp] felt insanely fun. The overall level design was kinda boring, but the atmosphere [sp]or lack thereof[/sp] was really cool. I found the choices they had you make genuinely interesting. [sp]Seeing the rookie Commando stumble her way through a mission, and then have Serissa and Cora literally stop a barrage of rockets from a frigate was a neat contrast.[/sp] I'm curious what anybody else who has done this mission chose in the end? [sp] Personally, I outed Serissa's stupid scheme getting her Pathfinder killed, but I kept her in her role. She's been talked up to me the entire game, and then has one of my favorite moments of "badassery" in this series, throwing that Kett dude out of the fucking ship. She was pretty obviously qualified, albeit a bit misguided.[/sp] Continuing in the main plot, though, I've been presented with 3 separate locations I can go to. A [sp]ship, Elaaden, or some H-world.[/sp] I'll probably head to [sp]Elaaden[/sp] first, because I love me some Krogen shenanigans.
Found an amusing bug for multiplayer involving being able to use color tints you don't have. Don't know if it's been posted yet. Select the one character that has either color tint 3 and/or pattern unlocked and make sure its left selected on either one you want to edit on another character. Exit out to another character that has them locked and you can now edit the one you selected on the previous character.

[sp]my justification was pretty much "welp she sucks but she's skilled enough to take the role instead of the newb so you asaris deal with it"[/sp] oh and the [sp]h-asteroid is the best world[/sp]
oh and the [sp]h-asteroid is the best world[/sp]
Speaking of [sp]going to Asteroids[/sp], more ME1 notes. I just finished playing Out of the Sky (The one ME1 dlc with the batarians), and the story mission Noveria, and I think these two missions are perfect examples of Mako/Game design problems and successes. On the Noveria mission, it starts out pretty slowly, with Big-Boi Shepard having to access a garage. During that time he had to [sp] break into a apartment/corporate headquarters, contact a secret agent, accidentally slaughter half the PD due to a bug, and then, because Paragon makes good prices, bust a CEO[/sp]. It's fun, it's interesting, and it leads to a decent, not so difficult shooting gallery section with the Mako. The Mako section is linear, but it allows for players who have no idea where the fuck to go where to go, especially with the lack of a HUD icon or a distance counter seen in most games. Plus, there's no ridiculous amounts of obstacle avoidance, and you can loot wrecked cars, which is OPTIONAL. There's no real counter for looting 1-5 random cars for Benezia writing or some BS like that. You go into Peak 15, [sp]Use omni-gel on THAT PUZZLE because FUCK THAT PUZZLE[/sp], and then repair the facility, finding out that [sp]Saren is funding/creating a secret Rachini army deep within the mountain[/sp], and having various shoot outs with various enemies. It's interesting, and it can have a actual impact on the plot/future plot of the games with how you decide what to do with the big bad. All in all, it's fun to play and has a good amount of effort made into making it worth remembering as a mission In Bring Down The Sky, there's really none of that. It's basically 1/2 driving, 1/4 shooting, and 1/4 actual usable plot. It doesn't help that the terrain on the planet is RIDICULOUSLY hard to drive around, with a huge amount of mountains and potholes you can get stuck in, and getting out for stuff repeatedly is annoying. [sp]The BS with the explosive charges around that ONE FUCKING CONTROL ROOM[/sp] makes me really annoyed, especially if you forget to save like a not so scrub-lord. Plus, theres a [sp]FUCKING HIDE AND GO SEEK MINIQUEST revolving around three missing guys, who do the " everyone is DEAD" thing these quests always do[/sp], which is a pain to do because of the problems navigating. The shooting sections are just basically the same building copy and pasted, with those wonky "this box is not cover" boxes, with a little verity shoved in with the Rocket drones and the shield types. What's sad about the story is how it forces you really out of the conflict/issues facing the alliance/citadel people. There's no real purpose for it to be there. It's just "Eh, we want to introduce these cut aliens, what can we do?". [sp] I don't even think it's really mentioned in the series afterward either, besides a brief headline on the Citadel. Also no real "2tuff" puzzles like on Noveria either, take that as a Fuck Ye or Fuck Na.[/sp]. Both missions have their flaws and successes, but it seems like they went backwards on everything for the one real lore DLC that ME1 has.
So is the Autosave system just complete shit or is it just me ? It's clearly supposed to be an automatic rotating save system like Skyrim and Fallout 4 but it frequently makes about 4 saves in the span of 40 seconds anyway so there's no point.

You could lose a hour+ worth of progress in one area, and that includes cutscenes/level transitions
If you don't have Lair of the Shadow Broker, you should definitely pick that up.
why is that?

It's clearly supposed to be an automatic rotating save system like Skyrim and Fallout 4 but it frequently makes about 4 saves in the span of 40 seconds anyway so there's no point.
Its weird. It seems like it likes to autosave when you do certain things. Like if you research something it'll autosave. So you can have it save constantly in a row. Other times it doesn't like after a big fight on one of the main story quests the hud fucked up for me so I reloaded the last save. Took be back before the big fight and subsequent dialog and I wasn't entirely a happy camper about that.
why is that?
it's good???
why is that?
It's a fantastic piece of dlc.
It's better than ME1's system. You could lose a hour+ worth of progress in one area, and that includes cutscenes/level transitions
At least ME1 let you hit quicksave at most points in the game. ME:A's saving system is both overbearing and stingy as fuck, it doesn't even have a quicksave functionality and the save option is grayed out most of the time for me.
I'd really love to punch the person who made instant killing a thing, in the face, I don't like getting instant killed by anything, it's bullshit.
why is that?
guy complained about [sp]lack of liara[/sp] shadow broker is like [sp]an overdose of liara[/sp] spoiling just in case he knows nothing about the DLC
I'd really love to punch the person who made instant killing a thing, in the face, I don't like getting instant killed by anything, it's bullshit.
i keep hearing about instakills but never happened to me good thing i'm a sniper then [sp]you guys talking bout that energy orb attack from ascendants? never let those things touch me[/sp]
So uh, how the fuck do you get off [sp]the asteroid ?[/sp]
The Ascendant's instakill is literally just Gravity Squeeze. ascendants are mag-fucking-neto
So uh, how the fuck do you get off [sp]the asteroid ?[/sp]
hold the take off button while on the nomad (Y on xbox, dunno about other plats) i'm surprised more people dont know about that. every now and then i get back to tempest while i'm just trying to leave the car
I'm not playing Andromeda as much as I'd like: I've just finished up the major business on Eos, for instance, and pretty much nothing else. Around the time I escaped the resident Vault the graphical department started having a fucking seizure, with a green tint taking control of the entire screen and lights going on and off at random, with massive lag spikes too. I've tuned down all options to "high" or the kind save the ones I really care about, and now the game runs relatively smooth. Gotta say, my experience with Andromeda greatly improved when I realized that powers' combos aren't just a useful gimmick but an actual important mechanic you must take advantage of to do enough damage to enemies
i keep hearing about instakills but never happened to me
Basically the cunt fucking teleports around every so often, in one instance it teleported right next to me and was charging it's attack to grab me before I could even react to it, fortunately when it did this again we completed the mission and it still counted as a Full Extraction, still really irritating though.
Wait, there are instakills? Those have never happened to me at all
Really bummed how no other settlements get the same fanfare as Eos. Just go to the beacon and * BOOP* settlement.
Yeah, I was really hoping to establish a military base on [sp]Kadara[/sp] but I guess a colony's a colony at that point.

HNS: " A worker was lost in Space today. The victims name has been withheld until the next of Kin is notified in the Milky Way" Am I missing something? They can communicate with the milky way? Isn't civilization pretty much wiped out/drastically different/no one knows???
Yeah, I was really hoping to establish a military base on [sp]Kadara[/sp] but I guess a colony's a colony at that point.
Yeah I had it all planned out with kind of colony I wanted on which planets...
Smart Choke doesn't do anything, nor do ANY of the receiver mods
Smart choke works plenty fine on a piranha, which is not only the best and only shotgun in MP, but has the highest burst DPS period. Receivers also works just fine at shooting fools through cover in the face, snipes apparently have an issue off host however, but pistolas and a shotguns work fine.
