• Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?

You gotta get a little deeper in the game for it to go anywhere else. I want to say it's a bug that that option doesn't go away and you can keep repeating it. :v:
Does wiping all the silvers from Advanced Packs increase the odds of golds dropping from them?
Golds, yes. the UR drop is locked at 2.5%, which is just buying premium will have to suffice. I have yet to get a blue only advanced pack, but i'm only lacking about 6 weapon upgrades left, so I'll report back today or tomorrow if that comes up, if it does, then the obvious choice is premium as it has two golds per pack until they run out.
Maybe I'm starting to have allucinations, but I can swear Peebee is the only Asari in the game with an unique face: all the others are just eerie similar, the exact same face over and over again, on all their models. Also, I don't know if this is just a Peebee thing, but after flirting with her once I was able to select a "Flirting" option in the dialogue wheel. Said option is basically about Ryder plainly asking Peebee how he should flirt with her. I don't even have a girlfriend as of now but even I am better than that.
Peebee is the only one with a different face, not even Lexi got a unique face All the alien diversity in this game is just recolours
Peebee is the only one with a different face, not even Lexi got a unique face All the alien diversity in this game is just recolours
Literally only squad mates have unique faces. The humans all use variations on the pre-set faces and all the aliens are recolours. Which isn't too bad for turians but the asari have human faces so it's super noticeable. Like, remember that image that used to go around "Name that asari"? Someone could do that for Andromeda and it'd be almost impossible to get it right.

Just had a conversation with [sp]Sara[/sp] where my voice was coming out of her mouth. Like I was speaking but it was her lips moving. :v:
So I'm doing Vetra's loyalty and my Ryder pulls this fucking face He's like
Didn't realize that enjoying something was apologizing for it, thanks for the insight my man.
Has nothing to do with enjoyment, more the fact that no one dare say anything in this or frankly any other thread thread with you running from a dead sleep in the middle of the night with "NOT FOR ME, FOR ME IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT" we get it.
Well let's be honest for a sec here: Andromeda is the best game ever.
I'm a die-hard Mass Effect fan. The universe established by the first and second games remains my favorite sci-fi setting of all time. Mass Effect 1 is still my favorite RPG. Mass Effect 3 was for a long time the worst of the series with its nigh-incomprehensible plot, goofy macguffins every few minutes, and unnecessary explanations of all of the series' long-standing mysteries. The plot holes were filled in worse than my city fills in the pot holes in the road. It had good moments, but overall the plot felt really cheap and forced. Despite all of this I played through the whole game and didn't want to put it down, even though it really pissed me off several times. (Fuck off, Kai Leng. You're a shit boring character and Mac Walters half-assed you.) Then there's Andromeda. I got Andromeda for free and still can't motivate myself to start it again after only two grueling hours of contending with the contrived plot, bad dialogue, and flat characters. I really thought I put 7 in but it was only two. The gameplay improvements do not redeem the game. It is really pointless and inconsequential from the outset. Between the trite setup, boring hamfisted attempts at mystery-building, and meaninglessness of every character and what feels like the entire story so far, I dread the day I get fed up with not having finished a Mass Effect game and force myself to sit through it. The game is just really not that good. I guess if you're really that desperate for more Mass Effect you might have the patience to sift through the shit to find the occasional gold nugget, but it's leagues beneath the original game and even 2 in terms of keeping you turning those pages to find out what happens next. I honestly really couldn't care less what happens next in Andromeda. If it wasn't a Mass Effect game I'd probably play through it to laugh at how bad it is, but being an installment in a series I love, it's really just painful to look at.
It's more of being tired of seeing the same tired, over exaggerated complaints again and again, and responding with a different point of view to encourage discussion? I couldn't care less if someone dislikes Andromeda (they have plenty of reason to), but constantly saying "the faces ruin the game! BioWare is finished! Hack company! SJWs ruined gaming again!" is absurd. And responding to those complaints in the two whole threads I've looked at about Andromeda doesn't seem like rampant apologism? [editline]2nd April 2017[/editline] I also don't understand why you constantly come back to the thread and shit on the game if you really don't like it? Like, that's fine. I'm sorry you couldn't enjoy it. But some people do?
I can deal with shitty facial animation. All of the Mass Effects have been beautiful, visually interesting games but they have also always had flawed animations (this even applies to all of BioWare's games, including universally agreed upon masterpieces like KOTOR). I don't mind flawed animations. Andromeda is a pretty game with the same animation issues that have plagued every other Mass Effect game. The visuals are not the root of my argument.
That is not the root of my argument.
I wasn't talkin' about you, my man. Disliking the story is a pretty subjective thing, I can't really convince you to not feel the way you do about it.
Then there's Andromeda. Hell I'd argue it doesn't really pick up until you enter the vault on Eos. Which if course is right after the trial's cut-off point v:v:v
You played 2 hours and judged the whole game off of that? Man, I agree that it's definitely not the best Mass Effect, but the way people talk about it make it seem like it's an unplayable mess. It's not, it's a solid 7/10. Is it worth $60? Maybe not, but I believe I got my moneys worth in one playthrough (50 hours, all quest except the little collection ones) and I haven't even touched multiplayer. I've also played every mass effect game multiple times. Andromeda doesn't capture the wonders of the older games, but it doesn't really deserve all the hate it gets. Except for Face animations, they definitely could've improved that. Especially in the beginning hours.

I still think the squadmates in this game are leagues ahead of ME1.

I really hate how every alien is just a recolor of the Male or Female model. It's incredibly frustrating.
oh you did NOT just diss Wrex, Tali and Garrus.
To be fair, as much as I love them, those three didn't really come entirely into their own in the first game. Tali was a walking codex entry, Garrus wasn't your bro yet, and Wrex was a pretty bog-standard Krogan merc. They all kinda became what we think of them in 2.
