So all this time... Miranda's sister was hiding under this mask.
The look that they gave Tali under the mask in ME3 was pretty much the nail in the coffin on what I liked about her character.
Since ME1, she just got more and more dull. Then in ME3 they topped it off by making her look like some sort of model. (literally, actually)

This was a MUCH better looking face

Even if it is a bit human-looking, it fits her character and looks believable.

In my opinion they shouldn't have shown her face at all.

Totally agree, what I'm saying is if they were going to do it at all they should have at least put the effort in to NOT photoshop some stock image and make her look match her character even slightly.
I always liked to imagine quarians looking kinda like Cthulhu under the masks. No hair, slimy skin, little tentacle beards, not much in the way of a face. They kinda shot that down. I hope they don't touch the volus, I know I can't be the only person who thinks of them as fat little walrus people.
fat little walrus people.
They can't... our favourite fat little walrus people explode without their suits.
Besides, they probably learnt their lesson with photoshopping things after the uproar from the Talimancers. If they did photoshop a picture, they'd have to resort to Tuskarr.

Maybe I'm remembering the game wrong, but wasn't 80% of Tali's character in ME1 basically a walking codex entry? I think Tali hit her peak in ME2, especially with the Treason plot which was extremely well done.

"Biotic God Punch!"
Volus Suit, new cosmetic item set for Tusk in Dota 2.

She had nothing outside of her loyalty mission. Nothing. She may as well have not been in the game. At least the codex entries she spewed out were interesting- something she lacked completely outside of one mission in ME2.
And then her romance arch was laughable. She just lept at your dick with no build up. It was awful fanservice schlock. Hell the reason I was hoping she'd be a love interest in ME2 was because she didn't just throw herself at you in the first game, unlike Liara or Ashley. Then she suddenly becomes "SHEPRD I NEED U TO FEEL MAI SKIIIIIIIIIIIIN"

Are those shotgun shells strapped to her arms?

Considering she started out as three emails, including her death, I'd be happy with what you got.

Since the other quarian doesn't doesn't have them, apparently yes.

Considering that shotgun shells in our sense would be quite archaic, not to mention odd for a Quarian to have, I think it's more likely that thermal clips are just similar looking.
[editline]2nd May 2013[/editline]
By the way, I read somewhere that thermal clips (ME2 on) are universal for the guns. Shouldn't I be able to reload my rifle with pistol thermal clips then? Guh

Is it odd that this is almost exactly how I originally imagined tali looking? I mean, yeah, Bioware screwed up by showing her face at all, but this would've been a pretty good face if they'd been able to 3d render it and not fuck up.

I like this Tali, looks awesome

A design that makes sense given what we can see vaguely through the mask and isn't basically just a three-fingered human? Nah, let's go with something that completely violates what little we already established about their appearance.

No, the other quarian does have that on her suit. If anything, I'm guessing it's just a bit of design to look cool.

This is very good, but dem ears.
One thing I always imagined is quarian's skin being very pale/greyish. They had few generations trapped in the suits for most of their lives without any contact with sun.
Speaking of quarians, was anyone else disappointed with default appearance in ME3? All the other quarians had a nice upgrade, but she just had the same look from ME2. I know that her upgraded design was a switchable outfit, but not the default?
So I just tried my first time running ME3 since I got it for free from the whole SimCity fiasco, and low and behold before I'm even into the game it's not working properly.
I can't click on 'custom appearance' at all. When I do, it either sends me back or chooses default. Can anyone tell me what's going on?
[editline]3rd May 2013[/editline]
Did Bioware really not even bother checking the games' port at all or am I missing something crucial here?

I dunno about this. I think I'm a little bored with tentacle/mandible/weird starfish things comprising most of a species' face. The Asari have their cartilage thing, the Turians have similar 'hair' like devices (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090208152754/masseffect/images/c/c7/Turian_Military_Scouting.jpg), and while that art is certainly well done, it doesn't 'fit' Tali's persona (to me, anyhow). It seems too matured and 'toughened' in a way to be her.
Hell, even the Vorcha kind of have that semi-solid 'hair' thing going on.
oh god, when I went to check my key bindings I can't even scroll down
Literally every single EA game I've played in the past two years has broken for me in one way or another, what is going on here?
fuck snip

Almost as bad as blatantly walking around the Citadel in ME3 after the coup in Cerberus Armor you bought with a giant Cerberus stamp on its chest.
Was going to play through ME3 now that I had all the DLC's. Got halfway through the Omega DLC just after doing Grissom Academy, and lost motivation to continue.
Omega is a hell of a grind. Buggy too
What exactly is wrong with Omega? I was interested in getting all of the DLC.

The only problem I have with it, is that you can't leave till you've finished the DLC.
