The only problem I have with it, is that you can't leave till you've finished the DLC.
...Ah. Can you come back to Omega later once you beat it?
Every once in a while im tempted to just buy ever single piece of DLC and run thru the trilogy again, but the biowarepoints or whatever makes it such a fucking hassle
Sergeant Haron from ME2, drawn by me. [thumb]http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/3158/img010uo.jpg[/thumb] Too much blank space, I know.

Much as I defend Bioware though, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm a lot more cautious about their products now, and if DA3 isn't up to snuff then they're truly lost.

The Tali's face would be a great disappointment for me if I could give less shit about her.

Regardless, I'm more optimistic for whatever Bioware Montreal comes up with now.
I just wish Drew didn't retire and was there to help write stuff for DA3.
I'm not too worried about DA3 yet. DA2's faults were largely the product of an extremely rushed development cycle, something that DA3 seemingly doesn't have to worry about as much. As long as David Gaider and Mike Laidlaw are still at the helm and EA gives them the time they need, I think we should be in good hands.

Also, more Welsh and Irish accented elves, please! Also, anyone got any ideas on how I should flesh out the Haron picture? I want to make it a bit better before I move onto the next picture.

Regardless, I'm more optimistic for whatever Bioware Montreal comes up with now.
It's because they don't. I've talked pretty extensively to a couple writers who do get it, and basically Mac and Casey think it was a "communication error", not that it was hilariously bad and completely out of context with the rest of the series' premise, and the culture at BW is that you don't directly confront people in a negative fashion or about a negative concept, ever, especially if they run the department you're in. ...Drew's ending was depressing as fuck mate. I really doubt it would've made any difference
...Drew's ending was depressing as fuck mate. I really doubt it would've made any difference
I'd have preferred a depressing ending to a horrendous, terrible attempt at a bittersweet one.
...Drew's ending was depressing as fuck mate. I really doubt it would've made any difference
It would probably have been better than deus ex machina star child.
I would have liked it to be a 'we may die, but we'll be the last generation to go' sort of thing.
I would have liked it to be a 'we may die, but we'll be the last generation to go' sort of thing.
We have EC for that, matey. We also have the giant slabs of ham that the starchild gave us when he said 'SO BE IT'.
I personally wish they didn't flip-flop around with how the Reapers were portrayed (I accept I might be the only person who thought this). They were built up as godlike entities that could never be engaged conventionally, but all we ever really see them do is engage in conventional warfare, with the exception of Earth and Thessia. The Reaper invasion was built up as this apocalyptic event that certainly spelled doom for all, but honestly it never felt like that to me anywhere besides Earth. I dunno if that bothered anyone else but it always nags at me when I think about it.
I'd have preferred a depressing ending to a horrendous, terrible attempt at a bittersweet one.
So instead of "turns out the reapers are trying to help us because singularity" it's "turns out the reapers are trying to help us because dark energy"
So instead of "turns out the reapers are trying to help us because singularity" it's "turns out the reapers are trying to help us because dark energy"
At least it makes more sense than "you will always fight synthetics" at the end of a game where I just allied synthetics with organics.
I'd prefer the Dark Energy one purely because it at least has some sort of backing with hints throughout the series about it being an issue, it's still mediocre, but not nearly as bad.
BioWare Discuss ‘Mass Effect’ Spinoff. Ugh, the Call of Garrus idea really turns me off, I honestly couldn't care less about a prequel. I kinda like the Javik idea though, I'd play that over the adventures of Garrus or Aria anyday, but that's just my personal feeling, I'm sure they'll roll with Garrus and most people will love it, but I doubt I'd end up enjoying it anywhere as much as the original trilogy.
Seriously enough uguu waifu creepy fanservice and no fucking prequels. The only ideas in there worth exploring are citadel noire and the melee thing, ala Krannt Krushers.
I really don't want it be a prequel, because then everything that happened in the series means nothing, and everything you do in the prequel ultimately means nothing as well.
