I am diggin the absolute shit out of that new N7 armour.
If only we'd gotten something a bit more than conceptual...
I am diggin the absolute shit out of that new N7 armour.
Looks like the wrist blasters are gonna be a class based sub-weapon, interesting. Also wrawr for the win, now I won't have to eat Manveer's face off.
I was hoping for a little more, but at the very least we now know it'll probably look really fucking good.
I was hoping for a little more
EA's whole press conference was basically: "check back in a year or so, we're busy right now".

not much to go on but honestly I'm now just listening to the Mass Effect soundtracks and getting hyped
If only we'd gotten something a bit more than conceptual...
At least they are taking their time with it. I'd hate to see them rush it out the door.
I like those weather and lighting effects they're showing off. could mean more along the lines of open world gameplay, where you stay on planets longer, or it'll be different for each visit. but hey you never know. I'm willing to drop my whole hate gripe with the guns and armor if it means punching krogan with shotgun fists in the Utopian style of the first game. The whole reason I felt that way is because I don't picture gritty tactical warfare with people in skintight pink latex and silly looking guns. I was too distracted by the pretty views and characters in the first game to give a shit what people bashed each other over the head with.
I only noticed yesterday that there are still (official) ME comics being made. The latest one is "Foundation", which gives a little insight into Shepard's reconstruction by Cerberus and into the past and character of Maya Brooks (which I know is probably one of your favorite characters in the series, am I right?) On a serious note, it's pretty good. It mostly details some adventures of Shepard's crew, be it Kaiden, Ashley, Miranda, Jacob, Mordin, Thane, Zaeed, Kasumi, etc. Right now, the latest issue was n° 11 (about Zaeed) and it was pretty good. Anyone else reading those?
I thought about it. Then again, I've heard that most of the ME comics either have ridiculous art/wacky writing/both, so I haven't checked any of it out personally.
The ridiculous art is only about some of the more recent ones, but it's globally very good. Wacky writing, well... It ranges from bad to very good. But they all offer interesting insight and backstory into the Mass Effect universe and their characters. If you haven't read any of the comics, I really urge you to read them. That doesn't take too long even. [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] Have to admit, some of the faces in the latest comics are downright hillarious.
the ME comics either have ridiculous art/wacky writing/both
The Dragon Age universe shit is just as bad. It's literally like reading fanfiction with deviantart 'artists' doing the artwork.
If you haven't read any of the comics, I really urge you to read them. That doesn't take too long even.
The comics are great. I scored myself one of the hardcover copies for Homeworlds as well as the original copies. They give a nice back-story to the characters from the games.
I think the confusing thing is how Maya Brooks is part of the comics. I thought the Citadel DLC was meant to be non-canon. Or is it like, the serious parts are canon and the retarded shit isn't? This series confuses me. Fuck it.
The Citadel DLC is absolutely canon; it's just a different tone than the rest of the series.
Interesting. Definitely not my cup of tea.
The Citadel DLC is absolutely canon; it's just a different tone than the rest of the series.
what is even more canon is that the citadel dlc takes place ~1 year after the reaper war is won and shepard throws a party to all them alien friends and everything is nice and dandy. you heard it here first, folks
The Citadel DLC is absolutely canon; it's just a different tone than the rest of the series.
That's sure is an understatement

I'm really out of the loop and never read any books or comics.
Dis sum o dat fan theory or ? I'm really out of the loop and never read any books or comics.
Considering that in-game proper, as with any other assignment you may want to clear, you have to start the DLC before going to [sp]the Cerberus base[/sp] and trigger the endgame unless you want it to be lost forever, and that [sp]in most endings Shepard doesn't make out of it alive[/sp], we can safely assume we are talking about headcanon here

But thats me being a real cynic. Either way, The Citadel to me will always be a goofy cheesy meta sendoff and completely ill-relevant to the plot.

As long as the Geth are still around, possibly have one as a party member, it's all good with me. ... I miss Legion.
I could go without the batarians to be honest. And it'd make sense if they were near extinct save for one planet, seeing as they were the first hit by the reapers. and they deserve it too. Xenos Filth.
As long as the Geth are still around, possibly have one as a party member, it's all good with me. ... I miss Legion.
This platfor- I, miss you too, Shepard-Commander. Whether or not this unit has a soul, it still has a... heart.
Geth confirmed for robot waifus.
Can someone explain to me why the majority of the EA games trailers at this year's E3 were just ... CONCEPTUAL? (I won't use that Dolan picture here, I swear it)
Fancervix
And what's wrong with that? Sure, it has some ridiculous moments, but it's meant to be fun and lighthearted. There was a lot of bad blood between the fans and Bioware, as you know. This was a good way to restore a little of that relationship. [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] Then again, you know this as well as I do.
