• Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?

That certainly made my day. [editline]12th July 2014[/editline] And the thread's not barren, per se. There's an occasional spark of life here and there, but until we get some solid information on ME4, it's going to be quiet.
So it looks like Garrus will be getting an unofficial cameo in the new series of Doctor Who.
Wrex would require a save import as [sp]he can die in the first game and Wreave would take over.[/sp] Liara is a character who has some pre-determined aspects about her that wouldn't break canon if it was mentioned though.
IIRC she's the only one who can never die ([sp]unless you've got the lowest-possible ems and take her to the beam[/sp]) and she has a thousand-year lifespan. I'd be surprised if we don't at least hear about her.
The way it was originally intended, she would actually be the one telling the story at the end, instead of magic space dad

Really does have a bit of a Cyberman vibe to it, with the eyesockets looking very artificial and mechanical. So presumably the Cybermen have started "upgrading" turians now.

A nice survey. I basically told them to look closer at ME2 and try to find that balance between gameplay and story and that one must not be sacrificed for the other, make sure the characters are memorable (I forgot to tell them not to fall back on 'daddy issues.' Damn), customization is a plus, and if exploring is back as it was in ME, make the environments more varied than a simple color swap and give us a vehicle that can take a pounding like the Mako.
Does anyone have relayable news about the supposed Mass Effect collection that could hit the PS4 and Xbox One?
I wonder how they are going to create a story set after ME3 when all the endings had such total galactic consequences without making one ending canon.
I wonder how they are going to create a story set after ME3 when all the endings had such total galactic consequences without making one ending canon.
You forget how easy it can be to retcon things. The tactic they will use: we are in more future than before. Also, part of galaxy we renamed/haven't named yet so more creative license.
We better not get the destroy ending. The Geth didn't deserve to die
Destroying all mechs was a pretty bum way of dealing with the situation. I went with Control in the end, mainly because I love [sp]Legion and EDI[/sp] and wasnt all too impressed with the Synthesis ending. I just want a lot more customisation and exploration :v:
If I could tell them one thing: the story and the characters. But I'm sure Bioware can get that right. But for now I'll stick to the past. The bromance with Garrus and the romance with Liara are too strong. Damn, I'm gonna miss them.
This might be old. Or not. But if it is, it would fall under the category "old gold". 0:24
I hope I'm not typing in a thread that's "dead", but does anyone know Nihlus Kryik's ini code(s)? You can change your character to look like party members (and someone did Saren once). Does anyone know Nihlus's?

Race, clothes, anything? Because I'd really like to know how.
Do you know how to change your appearance in general? Race, clothes, anything? I was just wondering if anyone knew or has in their possession the correct BIOG codes for Nihlus Kryik.
I basically said in that survey: Take the quality of the storyline, customisation and exploration mechanics of Mass Effect 1, the character and crew development, game pacing and researching of Mass Effect 2 and the combat of Mass Effect 3 to make a great ME game.

That's all I could find, sorry!

It looks like party members work perfectly, which makes sense I guess since they're all properly animated in-game. There's a list on the last page (link) of buggy working NPCs, all of which at the least appear in-game outside of a cutscene. Not sure how Saren works the way he does, but maybe since Nihlus on really appears in cutscenes the model swap wouldn't work with him?

I'd just like change my Shepard's clothes, models, hats, glasses, anytihng... Like that guy did in this video: Seeing how fun that looks, someone must know how to do it?
I just beat Mass Effect 3 and I feel so unsatisfied. I just felt like I didn't get a huge chance to interact with my squadmates at the end the way I wanted to, and I didn't really feel like the ending did the series justice. It was a great game don't get me wrong but it felt so empty compared to ME1 and 2. [editline]25th July 2014[/editline] I mean god damnit after all that I wanted a happy ending ;___;

[editline]25th July 2014[/editline] I mean god damnit after all that I wanted a happy ending ;___;
I ended mine at Citadel, where Shep and the team destroy Cerberus, partied, then went to the warzone. No starbrat, Reapers leave and give the races a second chance to solve the dark energy crisis(or leave due to too much casualties) or they will be harvested, Shepard does live, but casualties were around 80-90% of the galaxy. Really, I prefer a somewhat Pyrrhic victory, but did want the Geth and EDI to survive and not control the Reapers or merge the synthetic and organic DNA. For your request on Mass Effect 3 ending, The Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod. No starbrat, no deaths, Shep lives.
You know the devs fucked up when fans put that much work into another ending. That was beautiful though thank you haha. also on the illusive man: [sp]he deserved a way cooler death, something akin to exploding into bits on his starship while calmly sitting at his chair lighting a smoke [/sp]
Citadel DLC is very obviously meant to be the true ending to the series.
also on the illusive man: [sp]he deserved a way cooler death, something akin to exploding into bits on his starship while calmly sitting at his chair lighting a smoke [/sp]
I hated everything Bioware did to Cerberus in ME3. They went from morally ambiguous shadow organization to a carbon copy of Star Wars' Galatic Empire; complete with incompetent white armored soldiers & British sounding officers.

[editline]25th July 2014[/editline] I mean god damnit after all that I wanted a happy ending ;___;
Personally I don't mind a bad ending or a finale where many people die, given it has some beliveability to it and doesn't look like something the writer just pulled off his arse. What I really disliked about ME3 ending how technically rushed it looked and how disappointing it was given the premise of the series (you do this and therefore you get this)
also on the illusive man:[sp]he deserved a way cooler death, something akin to exploding into bits on his starship while calmly sitting at his chair lighting a smoke[/sp]
Seconded. What is basically a complete reenacting about how I [sp]offed Saren in the first game[/sp] isn't exactly what I had in mind
